No lift yet. I'll probably add spacers from HS to level it pretty soon.

Wow this is perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. I'm planning a 2" lift as well. Do you think you could have fit 285s in there? Or it is pretty close to rubbing with the 275s with the 2" lift? Thanks

285's would fit no problem,, plenty of room left with the 275/70/17's... smooth and quiet ride,, loving it,,

275/70R17 on stock TRD OR. Only slight rub up front when turning, and going over a bump at the same time. Haven't been able to figure out where it's rubbing, but I've heard it a couple times.

Still need to install my spacers, and get an alignment.

Installed my spacers from Headstrong, then got an alignment. No more rubbing on rough roads. It'll be a little bit before I get a chance to test it off road.

IMG_3520.jpg IMG_3519.jpg IMG_3522.jpg IMG_3518.jpg IMG_3521.jpg IMG_3523.jpg IMG_3517.jpg Just got 275/70/r17 ST Maxx installed on my completely stock TRD OR 4x4. They're mounted on Method Roost Wheels with 0 offset and 4.75 backspacing and clearance is VERY tight, I'm driving carefully until my lift gets installed this week, 40 miles so far around town and freeway and so far no rubs. I'm sure they would rub over bumps while turning or at speed. Wouldn't recommend this size unless you're lifting it for sure. Side picture was the only one taken with the old wheels and tires in the back, all the others are after I took them out. Hope this helps anyone considering this size

Lift alone will not necessarily keep it from rubbing.

Thank you, I have read a lot of your input on the various threads and they have actually helped me on things I did not previously understand...However, the temptation of the 275/70 flesh was too hard to resist, I have accepted my fate in choosing to do so. Being completely honest with myself, I won't even be using the full capability of the lift I will be installing on my taco either, but at least if my taste changes in the future I will have a proper suspension to go along with my "Smitty99 Approved Tire Setup TM" ;)

You should be able to get it dialed in if you have a good alignment guy, and you may just need to trim a little plastic.

Thanks, I do have a friend on deck at a local 4x4 shop here who is ready to dial in my alignment properly and not just try to follow factory spec. After that, once my tires give me the tell-tale marks on where I'm rubbing I will be sure to perform the necessary trimming.

My wheels are supposed to arrive tomorrow. I was going to get 265/70 17, but now I'm seriously thinking about going to a 275/70 17. Either way, I've decided on KO2's.
I'm only lifted 1.5". Not worried if I have to do some trimming. I'd rather not have to do a CMC, but would if needed.
    Decisions decisions.....

Man in the south I would figure Duratrac to be a much better tire choice.

It might be. I've never owned either one. See a lot of people with both, but don't know anyone who could compare them. Never heard anything negative about Duratracs or KO2s.

Hopefully it works out the same for me! Rays stick out more than mine since they're -10 offset and 4.3 backspacing, mine are 0 offset and 4.75.
