I'd be shocked if I didn't already know you're a bit of an audophile. So I also know that you don't drown out your blown stock speakers with subs.

Drove the truck to the beach and surprisingly only used one tank of gas ( 250 miles )

Well, finally got around to writing up the bed rack I fabbed up as my first real welding project for the truck. Was a great learning experience, and has gotten me hooked on metalwork now in addition to woodworking. My wallet is sure to love that!

Building the Bed Rack (did someone say "new tools"?)

Love that you're getting into metal fab. Great skill to know, whether you work in field or not.
Love those rock sliders, homemade as well? The kick out looks killer. First time I've noticed that specific style of kick out.

Thanks - totally agree on the value of the ability. I've already found myself using it for a bunch of other stuff (a few in the build thread too) which is awesome.

The sliders aren't my design, I had them installed by Eric @RelentlessFab last summer. I initially felt like the kick out was a bit too large for my liking, but it's grown on me, and the strength and utility of the design is obvious.

What's up with the camera angle? Seems to be a Carolina thing.

With ABS and CC, I'm not sure a dual will fit - I couldn't find a way. I did just install a single... which was just in time for a trip down to Oregon that I still need to write up (compressor got plenty of use, including an on-trail flat repair).

Ahhhhhh, I'm still getting used to the aftermarket for Tacos. I remember I really liked a front bumper of theirs. Those sliders are no joke, love the build of them. Quality heavy duty overbuilt stuff man. Love it.

Sound upgrades are something I'd really like to do. Especially since it's the kind of improvement I would get heavy use out of. But I can't justify it over maintenance and such. That's more important IMO. And then when I have spare funds for the truck, I want to put towards some wheeling oriented mod.

    Eventually!

Trying to do the boot slide mod, i got the original clips off but i can't for the life of me get the boots to slide down at all, I thought maybe it was because there was a vacuum inside but i got the boot open a crack and it still won't budge, how'd you guys get these things to slide down? And I'm going about an inch down right? Im not putting a clip inside like the mod suggests Im just gonna slide them down and hope they don't slide back up, a couple guys say they've done it like this before and its easier than having to take the old boots off and everything
