My 2006 Tacoma recently got out of the hospital after a rather lengthy (9 month) stay for a frame transplant. While I was waiting I drove new vehicles, and now I want to upgrade my stereo. All I can do now is burn CDs at home or use a crumby FM transmitter. What are my options?

I would swap your headunit. Best bang for your buck. You'll get a little better auto and tons more features, plus the aux, and probably Bluetooth.
