I just got around to completing my first mods, all DIY style! I bought my 2007 TRD Sport about a year ago, and finally decided to make some changes. Given how much fun I'm having working on it, this may turn into a build thread over the next 2 years.

First up was replacing those awful amber overhead cabin lights with LED's(not terribly difficult)... youtube was my friend.

Next I installed a new audio/nav receiver. This was more difficult for me, as I have never done anything like this, and my electronics experience is minimal to say the least. But, thanks to some youtube video's and Crutchfield's instructions and customer service, even I was able to get it together! Its a Boss BV960NV. I had gone to my local auto/electronic shop and they quoted me at 600$ for a new Sony system with Car-play, which I wasn't a huge fan of anyway because you have to have cell signal to use. So after some research I found this system with hard nav, and all the other features I wanted for $250. I was nervous at first to do this myself, I though I might F something up, but after doing it, I'm so happy I did. I have discovered the tremendous amount of pride you get when you do this kind of thing yourself instead of paying to have it done for you.

Finally, I got tired of removing my radio antenna every time I get the truck washed, so I replaced it with this TRD antenna. It got mediocre reviews, mostly people complained about paint wearing away so we'll see what happens. I'm keeping the old antenna just in case.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my success stories because my friends are tired of hearing me talk about it

This is where it starts. Next thing you know, it will be lifted on 33's, steel bumpers etc. It's a slippery slope.
