Plastidip it some silly loud color.

I decided got the fuel line fixed in my lawn tractor and went to mow my yard. I don't know if I have dusty soil or if the design of the bagger on the tractor creates a weird vacuum, but long story short, it's now out front of my house with a $600 price tag on it (mega-optimistic). Sure, my push mower takes twice as long, but the frustration level is 1/4.

When I do one pass on my yard and I can't read the safety instructions at my feet because of the dust/dirt kicked up, I'm done. My Mom's newer tractor with the mulching kit doesn't do that.

Late to catching up on here...

I picked up a set of LCA's from @mach1man001 so I stripped them down last night and sprayed the inside with mavcoat to let it dry overnight. Today or this weekend the holes are going to be welded shut and around the external plate as well - then sprayed with epoxy based paint and then rustoleum over all of it. I didn't want to use the bottle-jack method of pressing the bushings out of the lca's so I used a bushing press tool in reverse to extend instead of compress. Toss a little heat on there while the bushing is

Today I fixed my CB Radio issue - looks like the uniden 520xl has poor filtering for inline noise as I swapped in the unit Rebecca gave me and no more noise on the system when I turn on the exterior LED pods/bar. I even re-ran the whole harness with shielded wire with the shield grounded... on both ends...

Also installed the birddawg mirror riser and techdeck heavy duty panel. The plan is to ditch the cell phone holder I have and switch to a RAM constructed setup.

Dusty yard is my guess. My front yard is bad like that. How old is it?

    I just did the opposite.

I gave away my lawn tractor when I moved because a large part of my lawn is an enormous hill that isn't really mowable, or is at the bottom of the hill next to the river that you wouldn't get a riding mower down to anyway. A friend does landscaping on the side and he said he could use it for parts if I didn't want it. He came up after I moved in and was surprised I didn't want the tractor, said he hadn't done anything with it and would bring it back up if I changed my mind.

I mowed it with a push mower once. That was enough. There's enough lawn that is mowable with a tractor where it saves a huge amount of time.

Of course, my tractor is a franken-mower at this point. It's a Husqvarna, but the original Kawasaki engine failed and the hydrostatic transmission failed, so it's got a 19 HP Briggs V-Twin off an old Craftsman and it's on its second manual transmission.

My Murray is close to 20. My push mower even when brand new was very dusty whether I bagged or mulched so it is just the yard.

Current plan is to put it on jack stands. Remove suspension from all 4 corners. At the same time I will be cutting out my frozen alignment bolts.

I'll be dropping the trans to finally send the original 175k clutch to retirement. To drop the tranny, I've gotta pull of and straighten my skids.

While my front skids are off, I'm going to fabricate frame braces for the stress and abuse of heavy winching. Straighten out my skids. I've got a lot to do

Step22 gear released some coilover boots that velcro on. I wonder how well they hold up.... or if they just trap moisture in there....

Got the mower going yesterday, was just missing an axle key on one of the wheels. I would have thought that at least the one wheel that had the axle key would have moved.
Lawn mowed, then fire at a buddies house.

Mocked up some ditch lights using CBI mounts. I don't think I like them :( I feel like the truck is too stock to pull them off. My hope was to use the passenger side mount to house a 4' Firestik.
