    So far Ive been fly fishing for cut throat trout and drift boat fishing for steelhead, so good, cant wait to be up there full time exploring and letting my shepherd out in the woods

    I don't think they use a lot of salt or anything I never knew rust to be an issue on cars in the Olympic peninsula. They'll gravel the roads a bit for the rare times it snows. If it snows over 3 inches everything shuts down. They just don't have the assets to deal with the snow up there because it isn't worth the investment to have a lot of snow stuff standing at the ready so they just shut everything down.

    I think I got a skewed impression of what winter in like up there, I have been there 1 week in the summer and 1 week in the winter which I guess was a lot more snow than normal. I was watching 5-6 cars skid onto the sidewalks in Port Angles one morning at an intersection near the hotel like holy shit

    It was an usual winter with the snow we had. We do usually get a few shots at the white stuff but generally just a few inches then it's gone in a day.
