    The thing is the Tacoma trans is not a problem to all owners. No problems with my auto trans. Going down a mountain that I usually end up doing about 90 mph near the bottom. This trans actually automatically downshifted, (in Cruise control), and maintained my speed where it was set to. I also averaged 23.7 miles to the gallon, (600 mile trip), even on steep mountain roads. So complain all you want, I'm a happy camper.

    Did you have the TSB done? Mine seems a lot smoother with it. Also I can finally use my cruise control. Thank god!

    It's not the transmission itself it's the programming. If you're not getting smooth shifts than you'll want to have the fluid level checked

    Underworld Flex trifold, tinted, TRDPRO grill, TRDPRO shift knob, etc,etc
    Problem #1 Taco:
    When under 45mph simply slide your hand over to the shift towards you and into sports mode. Above 45mph slide shift to D mode, problem solved. If you want additional turbo like performance, press ECT button.

    Problem #2 Chevy: Drive to the stealer and be prepared to repeat once or twice a month and for other developing issues as well.
    Or best alternative, drive to your nearest Taco dealer and trade it in for the much better quality, and reliability of a Taco.

    Racing in perpendicular directions would be rather pointless.

    Plus, after owning 6 motorcycles, nothing short of supercars excites me enough to even consider "racing" it. My Fast & Furious phase lasted about a week when I was 19.
