Just gotta get the exhaust around behind the transfer case, instead of under it.

Kick ass man, I heard you just got it done. Do you got any pics of the SOS skids on your ride? I should of checked out your ride the other day, looking to get my reroute done next month.

The creeks at Richland are deep, just got home from Boone and decided to check out the first few creek crossings while I was up that way. Should be a nice weekend out there if anyone is planning to go. Do not speed through this area of 321, lots of road construction. And a $413.00 trip to the lawyers office is a crappy reason to go to Boone on a rainy Tuesday.

That sucks. I know those creeks can get up there. Still nothing compared to the rivers in Windrock we were crossing through.

This weekend as the Red Clay Rally tore (an Overland style road rally that teams treated like an offroad and on road race) through Richland/Penley rd, the locals got really pissed off and called the Sheriffs dept. I don't know how anyone was penalized but the Sheriffs were not happy with the behaviour of the teams. The teams were also informed that while Richland Rd is public, the concrete bridge at the beginning, and Penley Rd are both private and are not for anyone that doesn't live there to drive on.

Considering I just drove with you guys and how we avoided the bridge this is a bummer that this happened. Any word of what they might do to richland?

This is a common event with the locals of the area, happening every couple years. Some groups, or individuals go in and act like assholes and law enforcment will get called. Likely only thng law enforcment can do is issue tickets for being on the private areas.

Ah ok, well hopefully we can be welcomed back in the future. That place is def a cool spot and would be unfortunate to lose due to the rally.

we all may have run Richland for the last time.....They were tearing it up through smokey mountain park as well. I was a time checkpoint in the park. I had a park ranger come chew my ass out for what they were doing. of course when you mention to the teams to slow down, its never them, its always the other guys .... I told him he should go write tickets. Speed limit 20, hauling ass at 50+ if I had to guess. more stress needs to be put on this next year. maybe radar guns at checkpoints ???? get clocked over the speed limit, penalty for team ..... @Overland_Tennessee

Not due to the Rally, but due to the individuals and teams who participated.
