My dad was stationed at Incirlik AFB in Turkey in the early 1980's. We spent 2 years there and, for the most part, it wasn't really that bad.

Sections of Tahuya have changed quite a bit. Once you get to the first obstacle where you have an option of easy, medium or hard, you have to go down the easy line to continue on the loop. If you go down the medium/hard lines you have to go back up because they have it all dug up currently. Probably making it a rock garden the whole way to yellow jacket hill, which is also harder.

Utterly, amazingly beautiful country. But I'm pretty sure that, given the state of the buildings, they're in the midst of a zombie apocalypse.

Cool the CG pulled up to get your autograph as well. The R2D2 was looking real swell.

Also, your seagulls have really, really... really, ridiculously long talons.

We stopped briefly in Turkey before continuing to Kuwait and Iraq. I don't remember where it was though. Looked pretty small.

Details Matter. I saw the posting on the FB Group page for the PNW Expedition group that there was a Club Cruise trip organized by the Mid-Coast Mustang group to World of Speed museum in Wilsonville, OR. I have a 3-day w/end with not too much planned, so it seemed like a fun day-trip, and I'm always up for ogling some high-powered beauties. I thought it would be a good way to get introduced to some of them (and want to meet some of you guys as well). New to the Expedition group for just a few weeks, but I am looking for more opportunities to get out in the boonies, and enjoy my '98. Anyway, per the posting a group was meeting at the Pacific Pride in North Bend. So into the GPS it went, though I was fairly sure how to get to it. Thought it was a funny place to meet for a trip to Oregon, but if there were some East-siders (across the pass) coming it might be easier to gather there than closer in to Seattle and let folks top-off their fuel. Arrived a few minutes before 8, dropped into the Pac Pride lot, and it seemed...awfully...empty. No Tacomas, no Mustangs or Fords of any sort. Cruised around the truck parking, the restaurant lot, the Shell station...nada. Hung out for ~30 minutes or so, still nothing so headed on home. Put a message on the FB post for the event to ask if there'd been a last minute change or what. Later today I got a reply that they'd been there, it was the only one off highway 101 in North Bend. Ohhhh...Mid-Coast Club...highway 101...a few dots became connected. They were meeting in North Bend, Oregon, not North Bend WA, and I was the only one from Seattle in this group who had planned to go. I was only about 400 miles or so off. So the moral is...details matter :). Still waiting for a good chance to get together with some of you and introduce myself. I'm really not that scatter-brained. And I got a few (non-truck related) things off the 'to-do' list with the new free day so it was all good in the long run. Since I'm fessing up here, what has been YOUR biggest 'DUH' moment?? Don't be shy...

Speaking of @AWilson013, I saw you on I-90 this morning, your rig looks damn good. I was the random motorcycle that waved at you on the bridge.

I am a pretty attentive driver... I am surprised I didn't notice you. Were you one of the 3 that were kinda together? Otherwise I didn't see you AT ALL lol...

    See me? Where?

Been good. Busy. Been seriously considering selling the 4runner and getting either a 100 series or a GX like yours.

Oh, okay. I was looking at your ass. I mean exhaust. And your backpack. Very trendy. I am glad I didn't completely miss a motorcyclist.

I watched you guys come up behind me in my rearview... I was hoping you'd scream past me in the tunnel.

Normally, I'm doing 80 minimum through that tunnel, but when I realized it was you I wanted to check out your GX.

Speaking of, how you liking those ST Maxx so far?

I like them quite a bit. Haven't really "used" them much, but so far so good. They're a little louder than my Duratracs, which is weird considering everyone says how quiet they are.
