Not entirely true. Apparently the sport hoods don't suffer the same flutter issues from delamination that I have heard about on the other trims. So there you go the scoop is better.[/QUOTE]

My truck has been thrashed around. Went from Hot as shit Miami Florida to now Alaska frigid winters. No delamination.. Texas built

The only thing I don't like about owning an SR5 is trying to find answers here about it. Can I fit 265/75/16s stock? Does the TRD skid plate fit? Haven't ever found any confirmed answers on those lol.

Some days I regret not getting an off-road, but then I practically moonwalk away from my truck and think, "Dang she's a lovely truck."

The 2017 SR5 and TRD Off Road both have 16x7 wheels with a +25 offset.
The TRD Off Road has P265/70R16 Goodyear Wrangler tires, so pretty safe bet that size would fit on the SR5 alloys.
The tire size calculator shows these are almost the same 'size' as the P245/75R16s, but with a wider track. So the speedo/odo would be close to dead on.

Went from a '96 Chevrolet K1500 that was a base model truck to a '16 TRD Sport DCSB 6MT. My old truck was a Cheyenne. I always said that I would add what I wanted to it such as the seats from a Silverado and never did. Was never happy with it either. When I bought my Taco I got as close to all the things that I wanted as possible. After many moons of no payments and then spending the most money I've ever spent to buy a vehicle I am now the happiest that I have ever been with a vehicle. I am almost a year in now and still love my truck. I have a company truck so mine sits a lot. I end up making up reasons to take off in my truck. Just my take on it.

I also just got a 2017 SR5 and have similar questions. I ordered the TRD skid plate as a dealer add, then they told me it would not fit. I found other skid plates that fit but you need to remove the air dam (which I don't want to do). So I'm still searching as well for a front skid for an SR5 that will bolt on without removing the air dam. Suggestions please and thanks!

Why don't you want to remove the air dam? I removed mine and my gas mileage went from like 17.5 to 19.

Remove the air dam and it'll fit just fine.

I got a 2016 SR5 last year that came with the touch screen/navigation/premium audio, tow package and love it, just turned 14k and no issues other than the tranny TSB that fixed it.

That A/C outlet is useless as hell.... I never used the one in my 2006 Sport and will not likely use this one either.... It won't boil water....!! Can't run a circular saw, etc... low end crap,..!

I do not regret getting an sr5 with tow package . sunroof is overrated for me. I had one in 2 of my cars before and never used it. Jbl system... Well I always do custom so why pay for that? off-road? me nope. key-less start? I have more satisfaction putting the key in the hole. I am bummed about the heated seats tho. Nice for when your back is sore.

    None so far
I have had my 2017 SR5 for a couple of months now. My only disappointment so far is that the light sensor for the headlights to automatically turn on at night and off in daylight is apparently an option. Mine didn't come with it. Isn't this function standard equipment on every other vehicle now? Other than that, I really like the 2017 SR5. And yes, I am poor so I didn't purchase the other models.

I think you need to step up a model for the auto headlights, they are on my OR.

i think you need the tech package on the TRDs to get the auto on/off headlights.

    2016 SR5-

Tow and appearance package. Very happy.

Had sort of a tough time finding the SR5 appearance pack and even the salesman was surprised at the way it made the truck look as compared to base sr5.

Just a personal opinion-the hood scoop and chrome grille...happy neither are found on my truck.

    Sunroof-not in S. florida.

Power seats? I wish the windows were manual. Less to go wrong.

Only upgrades I've made are Carhartt seat covers and weathertech mats both worth every penny. Full cup of coffee spilled and a simple towel off was all that was needed.

Pulls my skiff from the nastiest, sketchiest launches and that was most important to me.

Bought what I needed. My f150 was a 15 year investment so hoping to squeeze a bit more out of this one.

    Enjoy your truck
