I am looking to upgrade my 2017 Tacoma Off-Road with a lift kit and 33" tires. I will primarily be off-roading in sand dunes, and kinda want the desert racer look with the front a little higher than the back (not even sure the practicality of that). I was wondering if there are any recommendations on 4" lift kits that achieve this with a price range of 400-600ish.

I could recommend something decent for about 2 inches with a 255/80 or 85 tire that would get you in that price range but 4 inches, you're not going to get anything that rides comfortable as a daily driver or the dunes.

If it's a 2wd look at maxtrac lift spindles. If it's a 4wd, without going to a drop bracket lift, the most you can really get is about 3 inches . But you're gonna have to look into getting control alarms, and replacing the clamshell bushings in the front differential made by ECGS.

Do it right The first time and get some 5100s and ditch lift spacers and blocks options

Save yourself the hassle and install ECGS bushing in the drivers side axle

FYI you don't need to lift that high to enjoy dune running, you can get plenty of articulation and clearness with the stock tire size and a little more height.

save a few more bucks. When you do rise above stock just plan on replacing the needle bearing with the ecgs bushing. Its easier to do it all at once.

It's a 4x4, and yeah the dealership told me I couldn't lift it more than 3 inches to keep the warranty. I've off-roaded it a few times already just thought some 33s would make it even better and I assumed I needed to lift it some to fit them.

285s will just suck the power from you and require more money to fit than your budget will allow. 255/85r16 will fit if you don't mind the skinnier tire and will fit better with a 2in lift.

As mentioned before, the 5100s with OEM springs and an AAL will give you the height to clear that size in your price range. A wider tire will need cutting and trimmimg.

Don't lift your vehicle for the intention of fitting larger tires. Because your just going to rub when your suspension compresses while dune running. What you need to do is put the tire size you want on the truck with no suspension. Just let it sit on the bump stops. If you can turn all the way left and right with no clearance issues your golden. Otherwise get out the cutters and start trimming. Once you clear your tires, then worry about what type of shocks to put on that can handle sand dunes

Yes, factor that into the budget too, $60 for the part, more if they don't have tge extraction tool plus approximately $300 for labor if not doing yourself.

Budget is over $600, just maximum for the lift kit. Also figured at least $800 for rims and tires and then probably $600+ for labor. So around 2k, but the main goal is to just get a more aggressive look than stock and add dune capability at the lowest price while maintaining quality. Thanks for all the help so far!!
