Not bad but there's better triples out there.

Agreed, if I could recommend only 1 tripel it would be Karmaliet.

Thanks, I need to see what we don't get. We started getting bruery product a couple years ago. Prior to that I hauled some back from Denver and Portland on an epic beer vacation I did 2 summers ago. So within 4 months of me driving back with 23 cases of product we started getting Cascade and Bruery.

We are supposed to be getting Cigar City soon.

So I did manage to do some homebrewing stuff. I racked the sweet stout. I think it needs more roast. I was talking to our local beer guru (Mike Henning, BJCP Grand Master) and he said add a quarter teaspoon baking soda to the roasted barley I steep, quick boil and cool to reduce harshness.

Similarly the mild I made is meh, but I didn't have molasses as called for in the recipe. I did order Lyles Black Treacle for the old ale, so I will use some of that, quick boil, cool, then add to primary and rouse the yeast.

Just got back from Kauai. Tried out Kauai Island Brewing and Kauai Beer Company. Not a fan of the former, but really like the lager and bock at Kauai Beer Company. Sorry no pictures.

As far as triples from this side of the pond, this is probably one of my favorites to date.

That is "heady topper" by the alchemist. You wher in Vermont recently? UVM students chase The truck on delivery day just to get a four pack or two. And that case of white cans from Burlington beer company is well worth a look at also, they brewsome good beer.
