Your body runs on carbs one of the worst things to do is not eat them. You can eat healthy carbs and benefit from them.

If you want to lose weight you need to eat less calories than you burn. Focus on keeping calories down and then focus on the macros imo. You should also use an app to track what your eating and compare it to your TDEE. This worked pretty well for me and I've lost 25ish pounds since November.

Some dude ate nothing but twinkies for 10 weeks and lost 27 pounds while doing it so don't worry too much about carbs.

I think those are questions to ask before you buy products and consume them, not after lol.

To ask those questions also means you don't know what the products are for. Why consume something you don't know what it is for?

If you are following a ketogenic diet, there is really no need for additional protein supplementation. You can still do it, but it may just be a waste of money.

I personally stay away from highly processed foods. Whether or not you want to eat a Quest Bar is up to you. I don't like the artificial sweeteners and sugar alcohols in them. Make me sick/give me stomach pain.

Read labels, do some research, and make decisions from there. Everyone has their own dietary philosophy and will give you different answers.

Your body prefers to run on carbohydrates because it is more energy efficient to do so. Your body does not only run on carbs. Ketone bodies are more than sufficient to sustain energy needs. Ketogenic diets are more than healthy as well as sustainable.
Lets come out of the dark ages.

Supplementation is your third step. First is diet. Second is workout plan. Focus on those first then throw in some supp's to assist you but keep in mind they are called supplements because they supplement your workout plan and diet plan. Good luck!

Those are fine, but try not to rely on them too much as a crutch.

Weight loss Supplements are for when you cant lose any more weight. You should try to loose as much weight as possible by proper diet and exercise. Watch what and how much you eat. Weight train. I never do cardio though lol. Though I need to get my stamina back up/.

Make a meal plan in excel and stick to it. Put a calorie goal in it and stay under the calories each day. Sunday - Friday follow it to the T, Saturday get a meal that's not on your plan (big ass steak or a burger). You will lose weight.

Diets do not work b/c when your finished with them, you'll gain the weight back as you return to what you did before. (As other said, eating more calories than you burn in a day)

You need to do a lifestyle change, that means eating healthy and exercise like walking a lot (if you do not do any recreational sports)

As others have mentioned, stay away from highly processed foods at the grocery store. Go for the lean meats, veggies and fruits. Get used to drinking water with meals.

Drink water only. Don't pick another soda. No MD or DPs not diet ones. Cut back on food consumption.

    None so far
A couple of years ago, I lost a little over 50 pounds by cutting out carbs and sugar. I was dropping 2 to 3 pounds a day for a while. Problem was once I got off the diet, I went back to carbs and rather quickly gained the weight back. I agree that to lose weight and keep it off, you need to come up with a life style change you can stay with long term. I worked out at a gym during my diet. Not so much to help with weight loss, but I wanted to look and feel fit. I am now on a more reasonable diet. Healthy meals with no snacking during the day. I limit sweets as much as I can. I can't drink water all the time so I buy the flavoring packets to add to water. Still working out. At 63, I am in pretty decent shape. I am no Chuck Norris, but I enjoy hiking and can outwork quite a few of the young bucks around me.

There's no magic pill to lose weight. Like someone else said diet is the #1 way to lose weight then working out then supplements. You won't have success without a proper diet. Abs are made in the kitchen not the gym is the mantra.
I've never been really heavy, I watch what I eat and work out and run some. Lately I have cut 15 pounds and am about 17% body fat. I've taken to eating prepared meals with precise calories. You can eat these meals 4 times a day and won't leave you hungry the the protein, carbs and fats are balanced. I use goal food which is a local company, there is also project lean nation that is more global and I'm sure others. At first it may sound expensive but in my case it actually saves money as I don't eat out as often. The time saved doing any food prep and shopping is an added bonus. It's not rocket science, caloric deficit will result in weight loss.
    Good luck.
