Hey my tacoma was stolen from outside my house last night in Los Angeles.

Stock, immaculately maintained. My guess is some asshole is wheeling it and gonna dump it in the woods.

    please keep an eye out.

Yeah frankly I have no idea if it was targeted, or just taken for a joy ride. If anyone has any insight into what typically happens to stolen Taco's i'm all ears. I know it took me forever to find that exact one...

    I'm sorry to hear that.

How do they bypass the immobilizer without factory key?

yeah no idea. I did have a trailer hitch lock box with a valet key in it, but they would have had to been snooping enough to know the hitch box was there in the first place (it was covered with a black stopper). Then been able to figure out a way in the combo lock/ pry the whole thing open. Then get in the car and figure out a way to get the valet key to turn the engine over, which its simply not designed to do. So..... well, car thieves are smarter than me i guess.

If one is like me, there is a key hidden under my truck. Tomorrow first think I'll retrieve that. Sorry for the loss.

Sucks man...:( I'll keep and eye out. Anything particular that is different about this silver truck so we can distinguish from the thousands that are in SoCal?

Combination locks are super easy to decode. Wouldn't trust them to guard anything of value. Best wishes on finding your truck.

The 2015s came with the standard black master and grey valet keys right? You can open and start the car with the valet key, hence the name.

"Valet " keys start vehicles. For cars with trunks, the valet key would not unlock your trunk/glove so the valet couldn't access your valuable possesions when parking your car. Tacomas do not come with a valet key.
