Well, it was Wednesday night and not today, but my buddy and I put a Body Armor bumper on the front. I really like it. Also replaced the headlights and front grill. I had two choices on mounting the LED - I could drill two new holes in the bumper or fab another mount since the pre-drilled holes did not line up (too narrow) . I would up going to Lowe's and getting some pre-drilled square stock. I had to wallow out a couple of holes, and had to offset the light slightly so the access hole in the bumper was not covered, but I think it turned out decent.

I also added the scooped hood the week before and had the front fenders and hood painted.

I know some folks don't have said they think this bumper is ugly, but I like it.

If you like it, that's all that matters. Build your truck to suit your taste and your needs!
P.S. that bumper is beefy AF, I feel sorry for whom ever brake checks you

I'm willing to bet not many people here would conduct buiness and try to help others when they are off work and have a family to spend time with and take care of. I for 1 wouldn't expect a response after hours but alot of us here appeciate the extra mile you go to help us.

The fact that you like your bumper is the only thing that matters. Sometimes folks like to voice their dislike of other peoples gear without concern for other peoples feelings. I know I know it's the internet but still no need to be inconsiderate.

not the best pic but the only one i have on hand at the moment, it helped so much with getting access to the winch and the free spool lever and now i can see how my cable is spooling on the drum

Today I bid farewell to the 2007 Tacoma. :( It may be on its third owner now, but its still in the family as it was sold to my brother. However, it has gone through a lot of changes since my sister owned it.

This was originally supposed to go to my son, but he bought our neighbors 2014 Tacoma. He didn't like the long bed. My brother has been wanting this truck since my sister bought it in 2007.

Well yes. I have a 2015 I bought in 2015. This 2007 my sister was trading in for a 2017 back in February. They offered her $5000 for trade in. She called to ask me if that was enough. I wired her $7000 instead. I was going to give it to my son, but my neighbor who is unable to drive anymore asked me to help him sell his 2014 DCSB in MGM with just over 1000 miles on it. We just bought it from him. So the 2007, which my brother wanted but for a long time now gets it. He just got a new job and can afford it now.

Here is my post when I bought the truck.

FIVE GRAND?? no idea what trim or miles, but that sounds insulting for a 2nd gen Tacoma. Even if it is in your fancy USD

I know. They stated the engine was shot, the rear suspension needed A LOT of work, the tires were toast and 4X4 where far less desirable to the hot selling "Prerunners" that eveyone wants. Engine shot? It leaks oil a bit at the timing cover. I fixed that problem. The rear suspension had the non-TSB springs. Got the dealer there to change them before I drove it back. The tires were actually worn and cracked. Put on some new KO2s. Just 4 months earlier it had it's 110K mile service. All fluids replaced, spark plugs, filters, you name it. 114K is on the clock now.

I can't imagine preferring a prerunner in BC terrain, and from what I have seen WA is pretty similar. Sounds like that dealer was feeding you some bull. Good decision to keep that truck in the family!

The truck was bought in Las Vegas and attempted to be traded in Tucson, AZ. There are a lot of PreRunners there. When buying new, 4X4 is harder to find. Here in Seattle, it's the exact opposite. The 2007 is now back in Las Vegas.

Now you know why they call them stealerships!
