Good enough reason to never live there for me.

Where did you see that it still has access to the 12v? The product description doesn't mention it.

One review mentioned it has a cut out, but does that mean there is still access to it, or that the box is molded around it so it fits better in the console?

I'll probably pull the trigger if it retains 12v.

I just called Lock'er Down and confirmed that is does retain access to the 12V port.
It's a little hard to see in the image above, but there is a U shaped cutout.

Thank you for serving your community and taking the risk everyday to put on that badge. I know that not all police officers are "bad" and I have high respect for those men and women who serve we the people.

But I have run into quite a few officers in my own small town who are complete pricks. When I was younger they took advantage of my little knowledge of traffic stops and constitutional rights. I thank them for motivating me to learning the law.

Small town LEO's tend to be more aggressive with the few run ins I've had in my past as well. As a LEO, I take the extra few minutes on each stop to try to educate them. I'm also a firm believe that a warning is often times more powerful than a citation. During training the instructors always told us, "if you don't want your mom to read about it in the paper, don't do it." I can't speak for 100% of LEO's but I am speaking for myself. Respect and honesty go a long way even on a simple traffic stop.

Sweet, I'll most likely be getting this - they should definatly add this as a selling point on the product description especially if competitor products aren't offering this.

That's correct, they didn't list it on their website but it certainly is a huge selling point that sparked my interest. Be sure to post pictures if you get it before me! I'll be placing an order for mine come June. I'll be sure to include it in the thread I write.

I just put the Tuffy vault in and had not seen the other one. The Tuffy is less expensive but wastes a little space in design, but seems solid and you can use 12v. I put up pictures in 3rd Gen Mod thread.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/posts/15197317/

My Springfield XD 9mm fits just barely in this position holstered. The designs allows access to the charging port although a charging port in here that is only on when the car is on is sorta useless.

Yep. Bolt in after minor assembly and then carpet back on top.
