The main difference is that ruffstuff heims are nylon injected for the ball. After a couple offroad prerunner runs the nylon wears out really easily and bursts out making play. I too would know I used one or two on my truck didn't even last 5 trips and already has play. Stick to most name brands or anything with a three piece all metal heim. I have been testing out some china three piece all metal heims with good results similar to fk

Anywho - anyone with solid mounted lowers and heimed uppers want to show me the threads on your uppers? I want to know how much to adjust, just a ballpark figure, then I can fine tune them

My truck will be different than yours, and the next guy's. How much your truck has been beat on can change the location of the stock mounts, even if the truck was only street driven before your kit install.

Yup, I sure did & completely different context of conversation as well. I am going on 2nd replacements within approx and 18 month period with some of them.

It is quite ironic that you are still arguing this considering your bro grenaded one that was only 6 months old and destroyed his kit...that is what that whole mess was about. Did you notice the post right above yours where Anthony stated he had some only last 5 trips ?

Yes, mine are toast & clearly have slop, 2 of the 4 3/4's replaced before they were even a year old and now the 1 1/4" heims on my links are toast again too. My suspicion is that I did grab nylon injected vs Teflon and have experienced exactly what Anthony described.

I bet the ones I grabbed at ORW were the nylon ones you described. I found the FK JMXL series on Summit and they must be a much better product because they are twice the price

Just my out of curiosity do you think I could pop one of my old 1 1/4" link heims open to see what it looks like inside ? 10 ton press right to the ball ?

I ordered the Giant Motorsports rear LT "Link Killer" kit with 21" of travel. Problem is it doesn't come with brake lines and want to try to order this stuff before install day. Anyone know how much of an extension I'll need?

Front is also ordered with Camburg but they are nice enough to include brake lines!

I've found vendors but looking for the length needed based on others experience. I'd like to have everything ready for install day.

I think the main reason I went with Giant is because of the additional travel for the $$ and the location. I was able to save a couple hundred bucks by driving 20 miles to their shop. Same with the camburg. Also through conversation with the guys at the shop they seemed to be quick to answer the phone, offered to show me the hardware and even their trucks with similar kits.
