So I have been looking for a pair of short light bar brackets for my 30in light bar. It sits on a NFab Light bar mount with hoop but the brackets it has are too tall. I measured them and they are about 3 inches tall, looking for some around 2 inches tall or maybe 2 and a half. As you can see in the picture below the light bar comes up above the hoop, trying to get it to sit lower. Any ideas?

Cut an inch off the tops and drill new holes to mount the light bar?

Don't have the tools to do so or else I would. I don't have any room in my garage to set up a workshop like I want as I rent and have no room for tools.

Probably your best bet is to find shorter ones online or maybe even at a hardware store

FYI, you can rent tools from Home Depot/Lowe's. I run this same NFab light bar mount, and had to do some cutting of my own (running a 25" light bar, couldn't find brackets the right width). I just used a sawzall and then hit the newly-cut brackets with some paint. IIRC, I got Rigid brackets. You shouldn't have too much difficulty finding brackets that aren't as tall.

Thanks for the tip! I'll look in to it on my upcoming day off.
