    After reading into a few threads, it is commonplace for OME shocks to knock a little more than others. I guess I just have to deal with it.

    i just carry a tow strap, a few d-rings, and a ratcheting cable puller. Haven't used them for recovery but seems like it should be good enough. ( and cheaper than winch or wench too)
