    My manual says "Lithium base chassis grease, NLGI No. 2."

    My first time around I used Lucas X-TRA heavy duty grease. Now that I look at it though, it is NLGI 2, but I don't see anywhere that it is lithium based. It claims to be "more stable than traditional lithium grease" so :notsure:. My joints haven't fallen apart yet, so that is good news!

    My '08 doesn't. When I replaced the u-joints, I put in ones that had zerk fittings. Now I just need to figure out the best type of grease.

    Every oil change and before every off road trip I grease them. I use Lucas red n tacky and the seem fine
