42" is perfect for a 1st gen. And maybe some @RelentlessFab brackets. A 50" bar is too wide for a 1st gen. But like @lucky13don said. To each their own! I took my windshield light bar and brackets off. Too much glare on the hood and it's like a wind sail up there also. So I stuck with the 20" light bar on the front bumper and a set of pods. 1 on each side of the light bar in front of the tire.

I run a 50 curved light bar and imo it's the way to go I get light no only in front but also fans out to the sides. Got the brackets from relentless. You'll have to wait for them but they are good quality and easy to install

I ordered some of the Rago Fabrication brackets with the 42" freedom light bar. Should have it installed by the week end. Just curious where you installed your switches.

Here is where I have mine switches for my 22" 4D optic light bar on the bumper and the other switch is for my 4D optic pods. Then in the 2nd picture is where I put the switch for my 42" light bar that I no longer have. But I'm going to use that switch for my switchback halos so I can turn them off & on. And not have the white halos on all the time. I used all Rigid brand switches since they light up when you have them in the on position.

I was thinking the about the same place for the single switch by the clutch start switch. But Im leaning towards mounting in front of the gear shift. That way when I put my aftermarket bumper I can put the fog light switch there. Thanks for posting the pics.

I have Relentless brackets and a 50" curved and like how it fills the apace well. My only complaint is I wish the bar was a few inches further down on windshield. Looks high to me, has me considering going back to a hoop and round lights and away from the LEDs

I got my front bumper from offroadwarehouse.com and my rear Trailgear bumper & sliders from 4wheelparts.com. Should've got all from 4wheelparts.com.

I've been trying to find more pictures of this light bracket mounted. But there's little to Mom that I've found. Do you guys happen to have any more pictures ? Side view and such ? And how's it holding up because I'm stationed out here in the east coast and rust is a big issue here

Hey guys. Just wondering how did you guys run your wires from the light bar to the cabin ? I've seen videos and pictures that people ran the wiring along the seam of the front windshield and A pillar into the front fender to get it inside the cabin... does anyone else have suggestions ?

From the light bar, down the a pillar behind the weather stripping. Into the engine bay. Through grommet

My buddy who's big into off roading says the best way is to drill a hole in roof and use a grommet and seal with RTV or some type of sealant.
