I don't have a pic. I did see the modules they were selling and they looked similar. We didn't discuss the harness and other details.

Here are the Hypertech units. Everything stays behind or below the gauge cluster.

For bigger tires, it's more of an annoyance. I would be inclined to make that annoyance go away for $75.

With a regear and manual transmission it's different. On 35's, my speedometer is at 75 when I'm going 65. So I'm racking up more miles than I'm actually driving. Since 35's put more wear on the vehicle it's probably more accurate... kinda like dog years. #dirtyfivemiles

The manuals have a sensor at the transmission output shaft vs. the wheel speed sensor of the automatics.

I used the GPS speedometers on Waze, Gaia, and a Garmin Montana. All were the same. So I'm learning the real speed at each 10mph increment. I've only driven 400 miles since the regear and could get used to it, but the unfavorably inaccurate odometer situation justifies the $75 cost.

Looks like someone else may be interested in taking over this project. I'm definitely geeky enough for it but lack the skill set.

I thought it was the other way around ;)

Just seeing if someone local is willing to take over the project. The guy lives in Oakland and his company is in Berkeley. It would be better if they met up and tested it on 2005-2011 and 2012-2015 models. Manual, auto, different tire sizes and gearing... once they get it dialed, it would go national.
Lots of guys I know with different setups, in or near Oakland, who would probably be willing to test it out.

    Dear "do the math" people,
I can do the damn math, but I'd rather the gauge just tell me the correct number.

Been eyeing the Hypertech for a while, but for $75 I'd jump on a competing product right away.

Yes that's a punch card. Those were used for computer input long ago when dinosaurs still roamed the earth. They could also be used for output.

A prof told me about those in school. He didn't have a visual reference though. Neat to see one.

Bingo. I had a faculty adviser for a club I was involved with in College and he'd write notes on them (blank on the back). He apparently had stacks and stacks of them in his office.
