if you have the16 rims I wouldn't go over the p265/70/16 size that will improve the look without killing the power

I was going to stick with the 16 but I just went with 17, the good thing is the wheels I purchased are light weight which should help I tried to research the specs on the stock steel wheels I have 16x7 I just wanted to know how much they weigh

Dont forget tire pressure, you may need to run a higher psi than someone with a V6 to decrease rolling resistance a bit.

You're in too deep might as well put some 35s on and be done with it

Since you went with a 17x9, that 9" width will limit your tire options. P265/70-17 will fit but an LT rated tire typically has a maximum rim width of 8.5"
Just keep an eye on that spec when you go to order tires.

    piddly stuff
I have a 2.7 at 4x4 and can vouch it will handle 285's fine in a p rating. I had them on my truck for about 6 months on 17x9 wheels. What @T4RFTMFW has been telling you has been strait up. I sold the wheels and tires and went with 17x7.5's 1st gen Tunndra wheels with 255/80/17's E rated Cooper St MAXX tires. Each one of these wheels and tires weighs 87lbs. What T4R is telling you for bigger tires you may need to make some adjustments and short of a regear our options are limited. The tires are heavy but being 255s have a smaller contact patch decreasing the rolling resistence saving some performance. If you choose to go the bigger tire route you'll want to look into an LCE header, AFE prodry S filter, and maybe do the secondary filter delete mod. After doing this I got most if not all my performance back. If your not prepared to go this route yoour best option is to stay with 265's. Bigger tires can work well on these trucks with a 4cyl, however a little more work is involved as @T4RFTMFW was trying to tell you earlier basically you gotta pay to play. If you need to see anything else about it it's in the build below. Good luck!
