I work for a performance shop and we offer a variety of amsoil and motul products, I've heard nothing but great things about amsoil severe gear gear lube, also not that you really feel a difference with this but I've put nothing but amsoil oe 0w20 in my truck since the first oil change, the next time it's due I'm throwing in the signature series 0w20 (better additives/ wear protection and is rated to go up to 25,000 before oil changes). Note I'm not gonna try that I'm going to stick with the 10,000 intervals. But I've heard good things about their atf (outperforming oe fluids)

I will have to try that out, I was planning on changing the atf, and front/rear diff fluids when I hit the 30k mark (just rolled over 21,600 today, I'll post the results when the time comes, I'll be using their signature series fuel effiecent atf and severe gear for both diffs

I use and have swapped to amsoil severe gear in the diffs, signature series motor oil is about to go in within 400 miles, but since I can't do a 100% drain and refill I think I'm just going to stick with factory yota trans fluid. Just my $.02

Not a 3rd gen, but I went to it in my 2nd gen. At 90K I had a partial change done and sent a sample off to Blackstone Labs. That test came back as healthier than the reference taken at 30K. When it was confirmed that the trans was not giving any indication of taking a vacation I had a 100% change done at 100K. The biggest thing I noticed was that it shifted smoother to the point the only indication of a shift was the drop in RPM. I've got Amsoil front to back and have no intention of going to anything else.

I work at a Motul shop and I'd still only run OEM WS trans fluid.

Toyota has some of the best fluids in the industry and WS is a synthetic already. There would be very little gains from changing it.

You would benefit more from synthetic final drive fluid, but even that is arguable.

Just had my front & rear diff fluids changed to Amsoil Severe Gear last week at my 15k service; been running Signature Series motor oil since first oil change at 5k (@5k intervals).

Mentioned to the service rep eariler in the week, when I was putting in my Amsoil order, about changing over the ATF. He suggested against it, just for the mere fact that he said Toyota is real particular about warranty work when it comes to the transmission. Said he would do it if I wanted but just advised against it for warranty reasons... So I held off for the time being. Probably will eventually switch over, maybe around 30k or so.
