    Got my compressor installed about a month ago, but finally got it written up and posted to my build thread. Came out great but is definitely custom. Not very much room in the engine compartment of a 2000 V6 with ABS, cruise control, and AC!

    ended up doing a custom intake with my snorkel which also allowed me to fab up a special little bracket that puts the twin right inline with my Off-Grid Engineering aux battery. very pleased with the end result!

    Looking for some guidance for my OBA install. Trying to figure out the proper placement of my fittings before routing the air lines. Came up with this so far -

    Compressor w/ check valve on leader -> water separator -> T-fitting w/quick disconnect -> ball valve -> check valve -> tank (safety valve, drain valve, pressure switch, pressure gauge) -> regulator -> manifold (safety valve, 2 outputs)

    Is this a good schematic? T-fitting w/quick disconnect after the water separator to air up tires in the event of tank failure. I'm curious as to if I should route the pressure gauge from the tank or the manifold.

    Common in garage/shop air installations, I think you're being bold stating they're very common in OBA installations.

    Made a quick diagram in paint. How does this look as far as where everything should be? Quick disconnect before ball valve and tank/manifold in case of tank failure so I could theoretically shut off the tank/manifold and use the QD before the ball valve in an emergency.

    I can understand how a ball valve would be used to shut-off parts of the system ....
    BUT, in the above situation, the ball valve would also be shutting off the pressure switch. How would the compressor be controlled in such an emergency?

    I'd put the manifold between the water separator, and attach the pressure switch to the manifold, not the tank.

    I agree with the above about the Pressure Switch. If you shut off the tank you have no pressure control of the compressor.

    What are you gonna use the outputs for? What's the purpose of the regulator? Current design has tank at ##psi regulated and manifold is at Pressure switch rated psi.
