I wiggled it, bounces it, went for a 15 mind ride. I felt the tire after the rid and it feels like it seated

Nicky Hayden, MotoGP and AMA Championship winner passed away today. Here is the story:
    http://www.roadracingworld.com/news...l-says-former-motogp-world-champion-has-died/

Sooo devastated right now. I grew up watching Nicky race, and was able to get his autograph and meet his father Earl in Indy at the MotoGP race a few years back. Really got me feeling f'ed up right now. Be careful out there whether on a motorcycle or a bicycle!!!!

Shows you death can come for you no matter what you do so doing the crazy dangerous shit you love is worth it. Dude spends a career racing motorcycles at near 200 mph all the time only to be taken out on a pedal bike. Sucks to hear about it.

Tomorrow is guaranteed to no one. This has been shown to me personally and now, professionally on an almost daily basis when I'm at work.

On a better note now that my insane school semester is over I'm enjoying the bike a bit and did some wrenching at a tech day.

I'm quite envious of my friend's garage setup.

Ha yeah, this semester that ended earlier this month was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life and it was also the first time I truly put 100% effort in and wasn't sure it was going to be enough. I'm not sure I'd wish nursing school on my worst enemy. It's awesome but crazy hard. I was either studying, working a day or two per week (externship at a hospital) or doing something school related. I only was able to get 2 motorcycle rides in over the 16 week semester besides to/from work and school.

The pics are deceptive, him and his wife have 6 bikes (2 large cruisers, two dirt bikes, two KLR 650's) that fit an oversize 2 + 1 car garage.

Edit: make that 3 KLR 650's, two that run.

glad to hear you made it through though. i have only gotten two motorcycle rides this year as well (both rd1 & 2 of racing).

they must ride a lot together to want near the same bikes. i need a bigger garage, ha

Hey guys. Bought a house over the winter, so my free time has been mostly on that. Looking to get out and hit up the MX tracks again. Can't wait. It's brutal to see the bikes sitting in the garage lol.

Currrent project. Sold the cr125 and got this. 1995 ktm 300 exc. The guy couldn't get it to run and pulled the motor, decided to sell it before going any further. Had spark, fuel, and compression just would never fire. I went over everything, never could get it to fire. Then my dad pulled my with the fourwheeler and put it in 3rd gear to see if it would hit....it did, made all sorts of noises and jerks, pull the clutch in and boom it ran....and when i let the clutch out....it went backwards!!

The motor itself is running backwards. Only guess is the timing is off. the stator that was in it wasn't made for the bike, been hacked to pieces to fit, and was falling apart. Getting a whole new ignition system. Got everything but the cdi. Hope it works!

Yeah I guess it happens in 2 strokes if the timing gets way off. Also I have read that stuff like boats and snowmobiles would have a switch to change the timing so they could go in reverse:notsure:

Lucky i didn't just try to take off, the first time it died right away and didn't think anything of it moving back. We got it started again, let out the clutch a little slower, and it was for sure going backwards. My dad looked at me and was so shocked. It was hilarious.

3 foot wide ditch with a 3 foot drop, you mx guys and enduro guys would you launch your bike off this? My parent have this in front of the house that I've been kicking around the idea of seeing how the suspension would hold up.

saaaaame. Looking at Denver... but not sure I can deal with 90 days of snow on the ground per year. Truck would probably rust through pretty quickly.
