I don't think Traction boards are necessary but they are a nice piece of insurance.

The best piece of advise is if you feel like your digging in, STOP, get out and let more air out or start digging. just don't wait untill you bury the truck to the frame.

That's why I linked some $15 ones. Probably won't need them but for that price it won't hurt to have.

Those don't take up much space either. Cheap tow insurance.

I didn't even notice the price! Not bad insurance at all then.

Bought a set of those Amazon traction boards. For $15 they seem pretty nice. Fit nice and compact behind the rear seat. They're not huge like some traction boards, but it's something if in a bind.

Very cool! You should intentionally get stuck (with a buddy of course) to see how they perform.

I've been running 6-8 PSI out there. Spend 3-4 days on the sand every year since 2011.

This years trip is in July, gonna be HOT.

Headed down for a week to celebrate July 4th. I have never driven on the beach but hope to do some fishing while we are there. Pretty excited.

So i took the yota out on the sand a few times now, decided to try it without airing down, it went through everything no problem, i left it at 32 psi for what it's worth
