What're you using? Sweets? So you know there are bears in the area, like tracks.

Got to spend a few days on the flats down in Florida. Finally managed to get into some trout and flounder, but the bite wasn't nearly as consistent as this time last year. Had a solid 80-100 lb tarpon flare at a shrimp but no take.

I got to get some pics but we've had some success this week, 2 of 3 bear baits have had a bear taken this week. One was an old 190lb 10+yr old sow and the other was a 2yr old. prob around 110lb boar. I already bleached the skull and its a tough old sow. Im going to work on the other one tomorrow.

I didn't catch much. I hooked a string ray, but it got caught on some debris and the line snapped.

Lots of walleye from the kayak this year, but I just can't pass on top-water smallies at dawn!2017-06-24_04-55-57.jpg

I miss hunting in Nebraska. Beautiful large deer their. I need to set up a hunt with my uncle next year.

When I moved to Texas I remember the first deer I shot here. Such a puny thing.

My deer from last year. Got very lucky. Grossed over 145, but with deductions I got 138 0/8.

Haven't got one in TX yet. There are some big ones here, but unless you know the right person or wanna pay $$$$$$, then the pickings are slim. I put all my deer resources into my trip to Neb with my dad. Still pushing him hard to go out and get some pics for me so I can see some potentials this year :D:fingerscrossed:

If you are a bow hunting I know of place past San Antonio where you can get really nice Axis for around $600. Or a regular white tail for $500
