For those noobs (like me) who scavenge these forums...

    Just replaced plugs in my 2013, DCSB, SR5, 4x4 - 75k Miles

It took about 90 minutes, it was my first time and I went slow...only had to remove the air filter housing on the passenger side - then one bracket, and a hose on the driver side. The spark plug wire clips on the drivers side were a little difficult but I got through it.

Purchased all six plugs for $35.99 directly from Toyota. They come pre-gapped at about .043/.044. The old ones measured about .053

On the list to do on mine. I am at 37k but my Taco had a rough life prior to me.

So, how are those plugs treating you? The difference in gap is interesting. Did you notice any difference with the .044 gap?

those plugs dont look that bad. You should always check the gap on new plugs...

What is the recommended mileage to change plugs? I have 80000km on my 2012 and just got a service letter from the service department where I bought the truck saying they are due.

v6 is every 30k miles on the standard copper core plugs. Replace em with the Denso plug, the ngk's dont seem to wear as good.

Did mine at 70k and gap was .063 and ran like crap. Half where NGK half denso from factory, replaced with all NGK's.

The old plugs are worn--they probably started out at 0.044"...
