I've seen a few off road videos where the LED dtrl's were strobing?

Is this some sort of feature that I'm missing?

Maybe it's just how the LEDs show in the camera. Try taking a video of your truck with the DRLs on and review it. It may do the same thing in the video.

I've noticed the DRL will appear to be strobing in photos/videos.

You see it on Top Gear all the time. I always wondered if it was a 60 cycle video thing, or if they somehow got the cars to do that.

Most LED bulbs look this way when recorded on video. It must be something to do with how fast the camera picks up the frames

Typically an LED is turned on and off several times a second, to control brightness and heat. The frame rate of the recording happens to catch it when it is off some of the time. The human eye can't typically see above 15Hz flashing. This is also the reason TV's shown on TV can be seen flickering sometimes, although not as much lately. The old refresh rate of broadcast TV was as low as 16Hz at one point and I believe movie frame rates are around 25Hz still.

On something that is flickering very close to the 15Hz threshold, sometimes crunching down on something in your mouth will allow you to see the flicker for a brief moment, I always have heard this called the "Dorito effect"

The frame rate of the camera makes it look like as if the LED lights are strobing... Watch video of cars leaving a meet, it look like their brake lights are strobing also... Nothing more than just technology tripping out on technology

This. Go shoot a quick video of your truck, LED monitor or LED TV. You'll see
