FYI check the status of big sur (pch) in northern cali. It was damaged to all the rain a few months back. Im unsure if its reopened.

 

Haven't taken the truck offroad yet with the air bags yet but after looking at the flex angles it should be fine for the trails I seek out. The front runner table is a slim line table but still recommends 2" of clearance between the cap and rack.. didn't find actual width of the table.

After a tare down of the drawer build for paint, it's finally back together..

 

First fill new aluminum 6lb tank. They don't have 6lb in their system so I get charged 5lb. Total cost $5.25. Total weight filled 13lbs.

does the cargo box over the cab work as a fairing for the roof top tent or is that wishful thinking on my part? Which carbo box is that?

Few questions:
1- how are those treds mounted?
2- how is the propane mounted?
3- Did you make the face of your drawer? Looks very nice and I might steal this idea for my bed drawers one day

Yea I fully think so. Don't follow my mpgs so I can't scientifically say.. . It's a Thule Weekender, unfortunately they have been discontinued for years so your best bet is to find one used.

 

I bolted a Thule track system to the window casings and made bridge plates with all treads to mount and bolt down the treds.





Made a plate extension from the rotopax spare bracket I made and used a C02 tank mounting bracket from Wheelers to hold the tank.





Yea I made the entire drawer system. I based it off how my fridge slides out with a latch and leverage handle, decided to put two handles on the drawer so it's comfy both righty and lefty.

Woulda loved to cruz down to SD, we didn't get to see as much as Cali as we wanted..

How is the molle panel holding up with the paint?

 

Your 285/75r17s, how you like em? Those are def on the top of the list as my next overland tire. My truck has outgrown the 255s, this size makes a lot sense for overland built tacomas.

 

Its perfect, minimal ware and tare being behind the seat..

 

Love them. They have brought the truck full circle with looks and performance on the trail. Ive definitely lost some MPGs but that was expected. Heres some more pics of them below vvvv

Some pics from the recent cross country trip taken with my Nikon 1 J1. Between phone pics, nikon, and GoPro and three weeks of travel their are lots of pictures to go through. Mix that with coming home to a full time job and house mods lingering haven't had much time for a write up. Dreaming I was still on the road. I was just able to offload the nikon and thought these few pics came out pretty crispy.
