Im making a return trip out there after I get some skids and lighting and im going to clear FR72A. It obviously hasn't been used in several years and last time i had to turn around because it wasn't cleared and alot of low hanging thick branches were in the way. It took me several hours to get up it (partly my inexperience with offroading, partly new trail, partly because the trail is not cleared or washed out.) and I ran out of daylight. However the view is quite rewarding and if you want to go shoot there is damn near no one out there for miles. I would recommend however not taking anything wider or longer than a 3rd gen tacoma with a short bed. Some of the turns are extremely tight and narrow. If you plan on being out after dark there make sure to bring a gun, its not very safe there.

GF and I ran the Mt Lemmon Control Road this past Tuesday and it was amazing. Took about 3 hours including a 45min lunch, only saw one person out there.

Here is a recap from last weekend.
First off was a older F250 on its side. He didn't seem drunk or impaired, just said the steering went out. Hooked up and flipped him back over with the help of others who stopped to push by hand.
The next morning I went to raise my coil overs and found 2 mono balls were loose and the upper mount bolt broke! Who knows how long it's been like that. I had them off a year ago and everything was ok. Anyway I ended up tigging it back together, ordering 2 new bolts, 4 mono balls, rebuild kit and oil from Sdhq.
After that I met my friend and we drove Mount Ord trail down hill. Pretty easy trail with some good off camber ruts, nice and tippy. Good views too.
The next day other plans cancelled, so we went mining, for mines. Poked around in some, didn't go in others. One even had hundreds of bats flying out at dusk!

Spent part of the weekend at Roosevelt Lake. Went scouting for some mountain biking out there and snapped a couple of pics on a fire road. This may have been around Four Peaks.

    IMG_8604.jpg IMG_8607.jpg IMG_8609.jpg IMG_8611.jpg

I think next time we are going to take A Cross all the way out to 288. That was a fun road to mob down. Any suggestions on mountain biking out in that area? We will probably be hitting Sedona too and have some trails picked out up there, but we would like to find easy to moderate trails out near Roosevelt if possible. Thanks!

Easy to Moderate, not that I'm aware of. There is the AZT, but lots of Wilderness Area around Four Peaks. The only other stuff I've seen is maybe ridden by somebody once a year, very overgrown, and involves downhill HAB (hike a bike).
