@BMunster where did you get the tailgate lettering? Did you do it yourself or have a shop do it? Looks great!

So I was reading a 3rd Gen forum on here...and read how someone had recommended Dean Mahalati from Toyota West (Columbus, OH) as a sales rep. They said that he is THE GUY to go to when ordering or looking for a Tacoma / Tundra. I gave him a call...told him I was looking for a specific Tacoma...2016 Double Cab TRD OffRoad in Quicksand...with the Tech package and a 6 speed manual. I had dealt with other dealers and like many of you, got the run-around as to how long it would take, if they could get one at all...dealers wanting sticker price, etc.

When I talked to him, he put the order in for a build within a few days...and less than six weeks later, I had "Sandy". He said that they take $2,500 off sticker on a TRD w a manual and $3,000 off sticker on an automatic. That's the best I have found anywhere. In addition, he kept me updated on the status of the build and was an excellent communicator as to the entire transaction. No hassling me on the price. Very simple, and to the point.

I arrived at the dealership to pick her up this morning. It was all cleaned up and in a secure and separate garage bay. He even threw in a real nice Toyota baseball hat that matched the color of my truck. Who does that??

I told him and his finance manager (Fred Rawlings) that I have bought numerous new cars over the years and never did I have such a positive experience w/ a dealership / salesman. His manager explained to me that Dean is very knowledgeable and knows his job well. Point being, he knows his product!! I'll point out that I drove two hours to buy from this dealership, and I certainly would buy from them again. If you're looking for a specific Tacoma, I would highly suggest looking him up. Time to take Sandy for a ride w the windows down, the moon roof open, and the radio up!
