Anyone else having the headrests on the front seats move and rattle going over bumps, uneven patches of pavement etc? If so, has anyone attempted to mod the headrests to sit firmer in place in the seat.

    Thanks

Haven't noticed anything from the front headrests, but the back headrests drive me nuts when they are folded forward to allow you to see out the back window, rattling around on every little bump.

The noise is crazy annoying right? I wonder if putting some sort of glue or epoxy on the metal rods on the headrests that go into the seat would remedy this or not. Or if there is some sort of other less permanent solution.

I guess that is a good solution for the rears. What about some sort of tension strap for the fronts to keep them from bouncing around as much, thoughts?

I think on the rears the noise is just from the "pivot" hinge bouncing up and down, not necessarily the rods. Usually I just have the back seats totally folded down, but occasionally when the seats are up I fold the headrests down and it annoys me.

I know this is an old thread, but my passenger seat headrest was rattling away. In case it's helpful, I think I solved mine by swapping the passenger headrest with the driver headrest. It's been a week. Maybe it's the angle of headrest posts, but it seems I have a tighter fit arranged this way. If both headrests rattle, swapping them obviously is less likely to help. Still curious if anybody has found a fix in case my rattle comes back.

Swapping headrests from the passenger to driver side fixed your issue?

I was almost thing some Velcro on the seat and headrest to hold it down might be a possible solution.

Swapping sides seems to have helped. But only my passenger side was rattling. It's only been a week so it could start rattling again I guess. Maybe the angle of the posts in the louder headrest is just a bit off and since I'm weighing down the driver's seat it just doesn't shake as much to make the rattle?? I'm hoping. Velcro might work. It'd be nice to find a solution that allowed us to keep the headrest at a height we choose. It'd be low for Velcro to hold. Good luck.

Yeah. Something about the way the posts of the headrest fit in the active headrest holes/tubes on the seat back. Quiet now for me but was making a racket a week ago.
