Adding Rear sway bar

Was wondering if anybody had a recommendation for adding a rear sway bar. It has the brackets on the frame already there .I don't know if there's a factory one or ?

Hellwig makes a 2nd gen sway bar. Should apply to our trucks too.

So excuse my newbness, do the Tacos not come with a rear sway bar from the factory, or just certain models?

 

I'm pretty sure no Tacoma does

 

Seems like a no brainer they would have them, but I might not be thinking about it correctly.

 

stock Tacomas have no rear bar.

Hellwig makes a 3 position bar for the rear of the 3rd gens.. i have it.

it's awesome for on road use. suits me and my setup perfectly, would buy again.

 

The only Tacoma that came with a rear sway bar from the factory is the X-Runner from the 2nd gen Tacomas.

 

Wonder if it would bolt up ? Is that where xrunner bolts up at ?

 

BTW I had a Hellwig rear sway bar on my truck prior to lifting it. Handles great in the twisty roads

 

They actually have mounts welded on the axle for the X-Runner. You could fab up the mounts and use the sway bar.

 

I looked for the installation instructions for 7744 but they're not available. I'm wondering if the Hellwig sway bar uses those factory mounts on the frame.

Why would you want a sway bar on a Tacoma rear?

 

SOS performance makes a great rear sway bar adapted from the S-Runner. Its made from an OEM Yota part just with different size end links. Fit and finish is great and handling is also very good
