Yesterday, we were moved into our new place. We have 2 dogs, Cooper and Daisy. Both of them are Jack Russell Terriers. They were running around inside and just exploring everything. The front door opens and both Cooper and Daisy ran out, but we told them to get back in and only Cooper listened. Daisy charged off. My partner ran after Daisy, I put Cooper into his crate and ran out after them. I see a lady walking by and ask if she saw a guy and a little white dog run by, she said they ran around the corner. I run around the corner and notice that it was a busy street. Right away I was already thinking this isn't looking to good. I ran back to the house and my partner runs up, shocked and frantic. He said that Daisy got hit by a car. My heart just dropped. I was in denial. Our poor little girl was dead. We wrapped her in a towel and put her into a box. We took her to the humane society, they are going to cremate her. I didn't start balling until I got to the humane society. We will truly miss her. She was a little bundle of joy, and man did she have a personality. We are still mourning our little one. I just hope it will get easy. I never realized that losing a pet was just as hard as losing a person. RIP little girl! We will miss you. I Love You!

Sorry for the loss. A pet truly becomes more than a pet after a very short time.

My kid's dog passed yesterday from old age. It was a stepdog since she lived at their house but she came and visited when they were out of town or had company from out of town. Even at that, still feels like family member and our dog's mentor & running mate. I feel for your loss. :(
