Take it back tell them you need a truck hence the reason you bought a truck.
    Or enjoy the mpg savings

    Welcome....back.

    Drive the corolla
Agreed...but it also exemplifies the 'good' about reading TW as well.

Feel for ya OP, only consolation I can offer is...make the corolla fun. However you define fun is entirely up to you.

My loaner was from enterprise, and they kept telling they are only allowed to pay for the corolla. I had a 5 min. conversation with the rep that going no where, so I just left to beat the traffic

Hope they at least have you a loaner truck. I would have set their shit on fire if they tried to put me in a Camry thanks to their fuckup

Mine was also impounded (same leaking diff issue) and i was given a corolla rental but was promised a Tacoma rental in two days. I was informed the next day that Toyota Corp. will not pay for a Tacoma rental. I demanded my truck back because I work in construction and I bought that truck to properly haul all my tools, gear, and material. The service dept. documented the leak, checked the fluid level and found it 0.5" below the filler hole. Drained and checked the fluid condition and deemed it OK. Then inspected the magnet and no abnormal metal particles were found. Refilled diff. fluid to filler hole after all bolts were torqued to spec. I am now driving my Taco until Toyota Corp. comes up with a permanent fix.

Therein proving the actual fix is not to simply RETORQUE the bolts as some of our local "experts" would suggest.

so a lot of people are saying that Toyota is snatching/abducting their trucks away from them and giving them a rental is not entirely true, since you demanded a Tacoma and they didn't say they would pay for a Tacoma replacement rental, you demanded your truck back cause you use it for your livelihood in construction and you were allowed to use it until the parts arrive for the repair. that makes more sense then what people are posting about this issue/recall and what the snatchers are saying about it.

Man it's been 3 weeks since I took my 2016 in for oil change only to have them tell me the rear dif is leaking and it's a recall. My tech says they are waiting on parts and keep taking more trucks in daily. Sounds to me like Toyota doesn't have a fix yet.
I'm driving a Camry which I am enjoying the mileage and keeping miles of my truck but, I bought a truck to use daily and a car just ain't cutting it. Will I ever get my truck back???
It's a lease with 1 more year left on the lease.
Do I trade it in for a new 2017 and roll over?
    What's the answer?? Nobody knows!

I took my truck in for the recall notice having no idea they'd hold it until a fix was available. They tried to give me a Camry to drive. I told them that wasn't acceptable. Then they said they had a Rav-4. I asked them if a Rav-4 could carry ten bundles of shingles and a seventeen foot ladder. The lady said no, it could not. Five minutes later they gave me a ride down to Enterprise Rent-A-Car and I drove away in a Nissan Frontier. The Frontier is starting to grow on me.

Well, I went to my dealer today and asked about my '16 Tacoma and it is still not fixed. They've had my truck since May 8 and no repair in site for the rear diff leak.. seriously disappointed and frustrated. Yes, I have a loaner (Camry) from the dealer but, I am making payments on a truck that I am not driving. I could be paying a lot less for a Camry than my truck. Now I'm hearing of another recall.... I just want my truck back. I'm looking into Florida's Lemon Law to see if I can get some help.. 2 months of truck payments with no truck.....???WTF
