In a time crunch in AK before leaving for WA I had the dealer change my fluids before the trip... didn't realize until I went to clean my filter that these fools changed my AEF for a normal filter

 

Let the shenanigans begin...

I don't think i brought enough cold weather gear.

 

Ignoring the kettle/pot issue of me bringing this up, but um aren't you with the wrong crew there? They all seem to be driving an incorrect vehicle.

I see you have made it a few miles from previous pic, very impressive given the number of Heeps in your run. You might actually make it 20-25 miles at this rate.

 

Got a date with a real nice camp area this evening!

Dinosaur Nat'l Monument

 

I discovered this probably 10 years ago or so, while climbing Handies Peak on Mothers Day Weekend. There was a D7 parked off the side of Cinnamon Pass, and they opened the road to Silverton. It was pretty cool to drive through 20' tall canyons of snow! Turns out they like to get the trails open as early as possible because of their tourism based economy.

 

Yep, I always laugh when people say they "plow" the passes open when they Doze it and it looks sketchy as hell watching them do it. I think Target For Telluride passes is before the 4th of July. Imogene Pass has that snow wall usually all summer long up top.

Somewhere I have a picture my buddy took of me, climbing the snow walls above his blazer on Cinnamon pass. Mountaineering axes and flexible crampons are a poor substitute for proper ice climbing equipment.

 

Anybody know why my right brake light would come on when my headlights do? It doesn't come on when anything on that side does: hazards, blinker, door locks. I don't know how long it's been doing it, but only noticed after we came back from moab.

 

Check the bulb connection, it may be shorting to the taillight.
