Who said anything about using it... if I had to actually pull or be pulled, I would use the bubba shackle or my smittybilt ones... lol...

When I make some big bucks, maybe I'll use it as a paperweight at work..

It's only supposed to be rated the same as the steel one, just lighter and more expensive.
I think the titanium shackles are normally used for boating.

Hanging four of those from your bumpers, 2 in the front and 2 on the rear bumper is straight baller status. :rain:

And if someone ever tried to hook a strap on to that shackle I would tell them to stop, while I change it back to Smittybilt.

Thanks for this BTW. Did Makapuu today and Diamond Head yesterday. Amazing place you guys got here. Might take some time to actually hit the beach on North Shore tomorrow.

Cool! Makapuu is nice, 5 minutes from my house. but parking can be tough. And the recently closed the access to the tide pools below. I used to hike diamond head all the time when it was free. And it's funny, when it was free hardly anybody went and it was fun since the tunnels were not lit and you had to bring a flash light. Now that you have to pay and they installed lights, it's crazy crowded
But the view is great :)

I fully expect crowds for a few things here so I'm mentally prepared for it. I gotta say, my favorite part so far has been north shore instead of the crowded/tourist south.

Waikiki sucks! So artificial these days. If you like nature and beaches, you should get to the outer islands.

Totally would but my time here is limited and there's so much to do that'll I'll probably go home with a few boxes unchecked. No regrets though, if I spend more time somewhere it's because I want to and not because I'm on some bullshit schedule like I would be back home. I got on "island time" real quick.

I've lived here since 2012 for the most part and the North Shore is far away my favorite part of the island. It can get a little touristy and traffic jammed, but the beaches are gorgeous and it's incredibly relaxing. Check out the spots as you go around the northern tip of the island and head south towards Kaneohe if you have time. Plenty of beautiful spots.

I'm here to explore. First time on the islands and I'm just trying to take it all in. Definitely here more for nature than the shopping so the less people the better. Some stops I had to make though are the Missiouri/Pearl Harbor and Hanuama Bay.

Seeing all the tacomas here makes me miss my truck though. Some of the pictures you guys posted from Peacock Flats looks like good wheeling.
The rental Mustang doesn't have a lot of recovery points.
