I emailed Hopkins back when I first bought my truck because they didn't list the 2017 Tacoma, only up to 2016. I already had a Hopkins Agility controller from my Silverado so I just needed the pigtail for it. They let me know that the 2016 Tacoma Part #47816 will work for the 2017.

Today I finally got around to plugging them in today. When I connected everything I didn't have any power coming to the controller, no lights or anything. I checked under the hood to make sure the fuse was there (they aren't for Chevy) and I used a meter to check for power at the pigtail. Fuse was there, no power coming out of the pigtail.
For fun I checked for voltage at the trailer plug. 0v with the controller disconnected, 12v with it connected. This made me assume I had a faulty controller, it is 12 years old or so.

I ran to my local store and got a new controller. Plugged it in and nothing. No power at all.

I decided to check the power at the factory plug and that is when I noticed something was... not right.

Comparing the plugs side by side they are exactly opposite of each other. The Hopkins is wired backwards or Toyota flipped the plug for 2017? I am guessing Hopkins is at fault here though.

The problem is nobody in town carries this pigtail so I am stuck ordering another one. I don't really want to order another one if they are all backwards.

Does anyone else have Hopkins in their 2017 that is working? Is this just a fluke?
