The micro amps are just very small amps with a high low pin harness so its essentially plug and play and matching up wire colours from the diagram to a metra reverse... its like the kids toys where they match blue with a blue shape or orange with triangle etc

    Install question:

Does the passenger side pillar have a nut too or does that one just pop off?

Teleko, the passenger side has 2 bolts. One at the top and one at the bottom of the grab handle. They are under the small covers.

Do the small covers pop off the same way as the driver side one or is there another trick to it?

Dents in roof from poorly loaded canoe. Broken side mirror from blown transfer truck tire. Scuffed up front bumper from thinking I was still in a corolla. Graham cracker embedded upholstery from a crazy kid.
Same on both sides. I used a trim tool to help pop them off.

Thanks to everyone helping me out! sounds a lot better than stock.

What sound settings does everyone have on their radios to make it sound the best? Treble, Mid & Bass?

Installed the tweeter set today. I am very happy with them. The sound is much more clear and sharp, doesnt come off as muffled or restrained. Vocals and highs are very distinct and more pronounced and clearer. Makes everything more balanced to me to compete with the surprising hefty amount of bass from the stock speakers.

Installation was very easy. The only tools you will need are a 10mm open face wrench/10mm socket wrench (mine was offset made leverage and angle of approach much easier)for the bolts on the tweeters and the door panels and a small flat head screwdriver to depress the locking piece on the tweeter clip. I also had a set of trim tools from Harbor Freight. <--diff set but you get the idea Do your need the trim tools? No, not really, but if youre gonna be doing other stuff on your truck theyre nice to have and theyre cheap 8 bucks for 4 kinds.

Total install time for me was 30-45 mins no rushing. Besides disconnecting your battery the only safety advice I would advise is if you have aftermarket tint on your front windshield be careful not to scratch it with the wrench or screwdriver

de-badged, tint front windows, led interior lights, door sill protectors, led b/up lights, 5" factory step rails, yellow turn signal bulbs, added 4 D ring tie downs. Took off the black vinyl stripes between the doors. Changed the grill - from Custom Car Grills, Finally got a tonneau cover put on. 31" light bar ( white & amber ), tailgate light bar, sunvisor covers ( to hide warning labels ), new bedside decals - still too cold to put them on tho. Flag decals to go on too, again too cold still. Got a 2 switch, switch plate to replace that useless cubby hole to the left of the steering wheel.. still to be installed ( hopefully this weekend ). Upgraded the tires to G/Y Duratracs... loving them, no plowing the driveway !!
With the Subaru speakers ( tweeters/dash ) do you need any wire adapters like you need for the doors ??

How did you get the passenger door panel off to then pop off the tweeter cover? I can only find a video for the driver's side. Thanks!

It's just like the driver side only there are two bolts inside the "oh shit" handle. You pop the covers off the same way. Everything else is the same.

Yup, the handle on the pillar has 2 squarish areas use a trim tool or something small and thin to wedge between and pry up being careful not to break the plastic hinge their secured with. Underneath are 2 screws, remove those and youre home free.

I installed the tweeters and was real happy with them, so I ordered the 4 speaker kit ( H631SSG000). Well, they dont fit. I knew I was taking a chance and it didn't work out . The fronts are really 6x8's and the rears look like 4.5's. They are a little smaller than the factory speakers and the bolt pattern isn't even close. Just wanted to give a heads up if anyone was planning on ordering these.

Thanks for the effort. Guess if I upgrade without an amp it will be the JBLs.
