Of course, I better keep my trap shut as I haven't tried bolting them up yet.

Finally broke down and bought a set of torque sticks since I'm pretty much committed to using my pneumatic impact for wheel service. Was going to just get an 80ft lb stick but ended up just grabbing this kit as I can also use the 100ft lb stick for the Hutchinson beadlock bolts.

Hmm. Had to Google torque stick to see how they worked. Sounds neat.

Also sounds like precision may vary. I think I'll stick with the torque wrench.

Can you imagine how long it would take to torque check each of those beadlock bolts on each wheel? On the truck there are five wheels, plus four more wheels on the trailer. Not including lug nuts. Being that I only have effective use of one arm, doing each by hand before rolling out on off-road trips would mean that I would be able to leave last nights camp by lunch time.

With the pneumatic and a torque stick I can get them close enough to be safe and still be able to enjoy my day.

Makes total sense with your situation and those beadlocks. I was a little excited about a new tool, but I don't think they'd be very helpful for me. What I could really use is some sort of open end wrench torque wrench! That'd be neat

I've seen open end inch pound wrenches that were really sweet when I was with a Swiss owned firm that made CNC rotary transfer machines. Very cool and very expensive.

Nice... I know you've been waiting for an 05-11 dash kit to pop up for a while now. If Canada had unlimited data plans I'd be all over one of those kits myself.

Yeah, very happy to have finally found the right one. I have a grandfathered in unlimited plan but I'm hoping to be able to store some data in the truck on a MacBook, or prefetch what I think I'll need beforehand. Will find out soon.

I've considered a pro but I don't use the mini that much - yet - to rationalize it. I currently have a 128gb mini which was the largest available at the time. If this arrangement is as successful as I hope I will be upgrading to the highest capacity available.

Remember "carPC?" I was really into that and actually had a fairly legit system in two different cars in the past. I still want to do something similar in the future possibly with a Mac Mini and some other bits.

Sealed the deal on the new iPad mini mount today so now I'm just going to be checking tracking numbers all weekend.

Added some rear mud flaps to the high clearance bumper so I can be legal while on the highway.

I bought two pair of aftermarket flaps. I forgot the brand as I've had them sitting around for awhile. I think @MO Tacoma might still have the name on his phone from a snapshot he took. Thy are a semi rigid plastic and fairly thick.

No, they are made for our trucks but allow you to mount them in various ways. So more like a universal tacoma mud flap.
