I used to have a VW GTI that had an option to program the power window for auto up.
This was programmed into the system so all you had to do was hold the switches in the up position for 10sec and the switch was programmed for auto up.

Is there a mod for the 2017 Tacoma like this? I can't seem to find anything on it. You'd think with a 2017 vehicle with so much electronics in it that you'd be able to have this feature.

TRD models have auto up and down switches. You could probably just change out the switch.

TRD and up have this capability. SR and SR5 are the lower trim levels and aren't going to have most of the options people are accustomed too from prior cars they may have owned.

I could be wrong... but I'm not sure you guys understand.

BWs have 3rd party modules that, with a double lock of the remote, rolls up your windows. It was a great feature.

I think he's asking is there a like module.

I think you are right, my old GTI was the same way, you could lower and roll up the windows from the key fob, or from putting your key in the door and turning it to the unlock position and holding it to roll down, or lock position to roll up. It was a very nice feature for when walking to your car in the blazing summer heat.

DEI 535T You will need two of these. I have not done it to this vehicle yet, but in my old cars I installed older versions of these and they worked great. Depending on how you install them (wire them to each door switch or just the driver's door) the side effect is you also add one touch to those. On my 1st gen I installed one module (does 1 door up/down) and wired to each door, so both driver and passenger door switches were one touch. On my WRX, I installed two modules in the driver door (less wiring and way faster) and had one touch on all four windows just from the driver switch.

Does the SR5 come with one touch front windows like the TRD models? if so I believe you would only need one of these modules unless you're trying to do windows up/down by remote. Actually i guess it depends on the set up, if you just want the driver to have one touch then one unit, but if you want each door to be one touch then you would need two units. And if you do not already have one touch in the front then you would need 2 units regardless

My SR5 has one touch DOWN on the drivers side only. I'd love one touch down on dr & pass as well as one touch up on both.

Yes! I forgot about the ability to close the windows and sunroof from outside of the car!

the 535T can handle auto up/down on two windows. If you are looking for just auto up when you lock for your four doors, you can actually get away with one module. Regardless of existing auto up/down features you will need one of these if you want to hit "lock" on your fob and have the windows roll up.

This is the feature i miss most from my B6 Audi S4! well... that and the V8, HA

Holding down the lock or unlock button on the key FOB would roll up or roll down all the windows and sunroof. whenever you released the button the windows would stop moving (i.e. half way up. or just cracked an inch or two)

Can anyone confirm if it has been established that the rear switches can be swapped out with one-touch switches to provide one-touch up/down all around? Not scared of some wiring either. Just on the driver's panel is all I care about, not on the doors themselves

Pic of my driver side panel in my Pro. Sort of a bummer that it didn't come with one-touch all around from factory

^^ Not sure, but perhaps you could swap one switch around and let us know ^^ that would be a great find but I think there might be more to it than just the switch.

I suspect as much. I remember looking into this about a year ago and scrapped the idea since no one had discovered anything, but now I'm more motivated to find out if this is a possible mod. I personally don't care for the alternative that's been discovered, imitating the 4runner's window function from the key fob. I don't have any need to operate my windows without being in the truck.

If I figure anything out, I'll let you guys know.

Subbed. Just crossed my mind today... Would like an auto down switch for my access cab's driver's side switch for the passenger side window. (That's not confusing.)

Considered the passenger side's switch as well, but worry my dog might figure it out
