    Sorry , I meant 1/2lb

There are different "densities" of spray foam with different permeance properties , 2lb foam is what is generally used in my area

What is the unit of volume that the density refers to cubic foot, cubic yard, cubic meter?

All I know of is "open cell" or "closed cell".

The open cell, which I have is like a sponge. Somewhat soft, you can press it in and squish it. It has little open air pockets, like a loaf of bread.

The closed cell is much harder. When it is sprayed and cured it is hardened.

Done a good bit since last update.

Passed insulation inspection today. Good to go for drywall!

The bad part is, the place I ordered my fireplace from , lost it.......they don't know where it is :notsure:. I'm a little upset about that. Hopefully I will get it next week..

Still waiting on power. Weather has been bad which has pushed them back. No worries on that,it is what it is.

Two trips to the landfill today. I was able to borrow a dump trailer from a friend (made it easy). The pup is about 8 months old, and this is the third time he's ridden in the bed of the truck. He loves it.

(Doing about 55 on an empty road in this pic)

It was about the time school let out. I got stopped behind a bus after I took this. They let kids off, and their dog came out to the street. Ryder went nuts! He is usually very quiet, but I guess he wanted to play. I was worried he'd jump out. I'm glad he is a pansy. Haha. He will hardly jump out when the gate is down.

    Thank you.

Gonna start changing real soon. Drywall will be going in, septic system this week, fire place (if they find out where it is). I will be forming the garage, back patio and front porch starting tomorrow. Hopefully the power company will show up this week so I can have power on the house. Decks will go on once the footings and back patio are on.

    Lots to do, ever changing.

I've cleaned this weekend so far. Few trips to the landfill will do some good.

electrical is lookin good so far.. 200 amp service would be nice. i dont see that much since im not in residential and everyone out here has cookie cutter homes in the city and all the heating is usually natural gas. just the square footage of your place must have warranted the 200 amp service.

as an electrician... i would HATE you if i had to try and fix something behind a wall or fish a new circuit in...either that or you would hate me because the drywall would be coming down...

It's been about 85-90* here the last week or so. Inside the house, with no AC, just a fan blowing colder air from the basement, it's about 20* cooler inside the house! Spray foam is where it's at. I made the right choice.

And I'm getting a 400 amp service. I'm going to piggy back the building off the house so I don't have two meters, and two bills.

I had a little time last night after my daughters softball gam so I decided to work on the shop for a few hours.

I started to put up the soffit on the front. Well, I wanted to take a few steps back to check it out, and tripped over the bucket on the skid steer. Dropped me all the way down, my right boot got hung up and I twisted my ankle real bad. Couldn't hardly walk this morning. My right ankle is suspect anyway from my younger days.

I feel stupid for falling and getting hurt. I had to go buy a brace this morning so I could go and work today. Trying to lay the stone in the garage and for the porches for concrete.

I'm ready for a cold one.

    image.jpg

I've screeded all this down. Ran out of stone so I still have another ton or so to put down, maybe two. "I'm tired boss"

Had a bird in his belly!

First non friendly I've seen there in three years. I have a black snake in the building (I leave him alone, but he still freaks me out when I see him, haha).i thought he was a drop cord yesterday, until he slithered away. Yes, I screamed like a girl, lmao.

We are about to get busy, so you are in luck.

Hangers will be here Monday to start the drywall. Today I formed the front and back porches and filled with stone (no pics yet but I'll take some tomorrow), I will probably start the fireplace install tomorrow. Too much to do in. It enough time.

I'm glad I'm your first post. Lulz.
