Yeah. Got it under there far enough to let it slide onto the bracket. But there's something pushing it off the window just enough to keep it from sliding the last 1/4". Cutting is likely the fix

Ahh i see what you mean. I had thought the 1/4" was in the way of the head liner

I just pushed back the headliner enough to slide the bracket on. No cutting required.

Do these work on a 2015 with the auto dimming mirror with homelink and no backup cam located on the mirror?

I can happily say I now have a stock of Mirror Mounts. If you are wanting a bracket I will take your name 'n address and ship it as soon as possible. Sadly the price had to take a small bump due to materials and postage.

    Here's the 411 as of 10/22/16

The following is the current price & standard "boilerplate" info and I thank you for your interest.:)

This bracket seems to work with all Gen II ('05-'15) Tacoma mirrors, wired or not and with screw or "clip on" type mounting. It will allow you to raise the mirror high enough to touch the headliner (almost but not quite w/ some clip on's).
After reviewing all the posts and you want one....Simply "Converse" with "ImMrYo" and leave your full name, address and zip. I will then ship pre-paid, via USPS, one bracket and a self-addressed, stamped envelope (Can. unstamped) for your prompt remitance of $40 cash/check/M.O. in the US. (Canada is $50 USD or $65 CAD) US or Can currency is best (wrap in paper) - Sorry no Pay Pal.
If you have need of more units, please make your request after completing the prior transaction. (also see below)

This item is currently available only to TW members.
Canadian postage took another huge jump this year.
Mail service to Canada has been known to take almost two weeks
The only tool you'll most likely need is a T-20 torx, for those mirrors retained with a screw.
To remove "clip on" type mirrors please see member post #1442 as they can be tricky.
Thank you in advance, hope this solves a problem and please make your comments known via post.

Bracket # 1048 received some time ago and just recently installed. Awesome, well worth the time and twice the money. Probably one of the best mods that I’ve done to my Tacoma yet.!!

As per instructions, unplugged the backup camera connector, used a T20 to loosen the mirror from the original bracket, then lifted in an upward direction - the mirror slipped right off. Then put the new bracket in place, tightened the set screw but not too tight. Mounted the mirror in its new position, tightened with the T20, and adjusted the mirror. Mirror sits about 1/8 inch below headliner. Did not attempt to reinstall prior plastic covers or to stuff the connector back under the headliner (can not see connector from drivers seat.) Done! It’s that easy. Now not to worry about that blind spot on my right.

Refer to TacomaTruckParts.com - post #1180 this thread for photos of compatible ideal mounting point for light weight electronics –

“RAM p/n RAP-B-369AU Mirror Base for Toyota Vehicles.”

The RAM mirror adaptor is ideally suited for mounting GPS devices, video camera recorders, radar detectors, cell phones, etc.

Brilliant simplicity of this mirror relocation idea and its design.

    Nicely Done Jerry! :transformer:

    Dick,

Yes the RAM can be installed with Jerry's bracket. Sorry, I quoted wrong post - now corrected # 1180.
    Attached photos from TacomaTruckParts.com post # 1180.

Bone simple. Took all of 5 minutes. Trickiest part was just getting the plastic cover off the metal plate glued to the windshield. Once that was off, it was maybe a minute to slip the unit on the plate, slip the mirror on, and tighten the screw. Best money I ever spent on the truck, no kidding. it opens up your forward view immensely!

Yeh I've been trying to check it out and slide it off in anticipation, but I'm afraid I'll break it. Any pointers, or just go for it?!

On mine, I just gently pried from one side with a small screwdriver, and the plastic piece just popped off the metal plate glued to the windshield. You can remove any screws, and try to gently tap it up from the bottom...

Bearpaw, Just as procedure in first post this thread, without the wires it could not be simpler.
Installation for your rearview mirror is straight forward - "bone simple."

1: Loosen mirror screw and remove mirror from the mount on the glass by sliding it up towards headliner
2: Slide new ImMrYo mirror bracket over stock windshield mount, tighten bolt snug with supplied allen key
3: Slide rearview mirror on upper ImMrYo mirror bracket notch, gently tighten stock screw on mirror

Just be careful, no hammers or hatchets, just a simple allen key and small screw driver. Heck, I'm an engineer and I didn't even mess up or break anything during the install on my Tacoma. "Best money you will ever spend on the truck, no kidding." Post a photo when you get it done!

Mirror lift bracket # 1909 - Absolutely love it. My 2013 has the backup camera in the mirror. I was able to tuck wire connector up under headliner and get bracket installed with no problem.

Bracket #1911 installed. One word: genius. Payment en route.

My 2006 base model mirror had no screws. Pried the mirror bracket cover off gently with a flat head screwdriver, pressed the tab on the plastic piece that mounts to the windshield bracket and slid the mirror up and off.

    Luuuuuv it!

Just got mine in the mail... took 5 days I think. Took 5 minutes to install on my 2013.
Superb quality and design, and best of all I can see out of my windshield! Should've been a day one purchase!

    1916 installed. Check in mail

2012 double cab with backup camera mirror.
Original bracket is little tricky but managed to get it up under headliner, with no damage.
