    This is getting comical.

No way will allstate do this for you. If you were this way with the people who caused this they probably were being nice and telling you what you wanted to hear to get you to calm down.
If this happened on a street and i hit you my allstate insurance would laugh. However your truck would be fixed, some depreciation would be paid, maybe. Then you would be back on the road.

As for hitting and killing kids. SMH, it didnt happen they could care less about could haves as they are kind of dependent on the basis of actuality.

Insurance agent here in WA state... Let me just say that you have the mindset of every single customer who has a claim...

Realistically you are going to get treated fairly and appropriately. They will either fix your truck or will give you appropriate value if they deem its a loss.

You will not get OEM parts unless you have that spelled out in your Insurance Contract (doubt it)

You will not get what you paid for it (unless you got an absolute killer deal that is way below value)

Stop treating Insurance as a means to gain something off of accidents and claims. Insurance is designed to make you somewhat whole again not put you ahead. It is a business after all.

If you walk in with your arms up ready to fight an insurance company you will loose badly. Always be respectful because whoever you are talking to really does not care how much they pay out (unless they are claim reps, Then they care)

There are a lot of Insurance companies that will try to low-ball you by making really low settlement offers and slowly raising them as you ask them to. Be firm and try to get what is fair, but do not ask for the whole pie.

your off by a long shot my friend. KBB on my truck is like 15k and I can sell it for 20 private party (my area)

If I totaled it and started the claims process I would REALISTICALLY get an offer from my insurance company in the ball park of 12-14k If you decide that you can live with the damage and "settle" they are not going to hand over the difference.... they are going to formulate a settlement for you which is not cut and dry in which you are thinking it is. You need to think about what insurance means, Which is to make whole again. at the end of the day if they settle with you that puts you into the same situation before the accident then they did there job.

Update. Paid 22k for the truck. Already been offered 23,500 ish and total loss. But I can buy it back for 5700 ish. I am having them
bump up the value a bit with vehicles I have found(because they didnt find good comparable vehicles) and its looking like im gonna
break even and have my 19K loan paid off and I will pay the 3 or 4K out of pocket for the costmetic repairs and have no 19K loan
and rebuilt title truck paid off. The truck drives fine. Or I can get them up to about 26K(4k more than I paid) and I can let them take it. But
ill end up with a 20K plus loan on the new one vs. having this one paid off and spending a few grand upfront on the repairs. I think
ill just keep the damn truck. It drives perfectly fine. Its a work truck anyway. If I have any doubts about the last foot of the frame that
got tweaked after they massage it straight ill just have a welder reinforce that back half so I can be confident with my towing. I rarely tow
and usually never more than 1000 pounds. Maybe 2k once a year at best. So it should be fine.

There were some doubters. Let me tell you. If you know how to handle these people you can usually get situations in your favor.
Also im not a lawyer. Im a house painter with a GED. You either have the skills of persuasion or you dont. No law degrees necessary.

It could have turned out shitty though. if the people didnt have good insurance. Or if i had to file on mine. I played a huge
part in my outcome but I was also lucky.

Don't believe it at all, post up the estimate from the body shop where they determined the vehicle to be totaled or this is garbage.

Dont care what ya believe. This is the 3rd time ive had a vehicle of mine damaged at no fault of mine and totaled out. and every time i got a significant amount more than i paid for the car. I have a house worth 200k i bought needing 30k in renovation for 65k. Less than 10 years in a mortgage. Let me guess you dont believe that either? The normal rules of sheeple dont always apply to the wolves. If you go with the flow you get what everyone else gets. You swim upstream you get different results. Most wouldnt do and say what i said therefore these results may not be typical. Im just smart enough mixed with just crazy enough.

Never took it to a shop. Field estimate. never saw the numbers. They may be in some email attachments. It is what it is. All that matters is what it will cost me to fix.

The thing that bothers me most about this situation is that you parked in their driveway. I've been an electrician for years and feel its rude to park in someone else's driveway. Especially if you don't know them. Based on your pictures I'm curious where you were parked in relation to the house. I'm not seeing 75' of driveway nor a way for your truck to have hit 20 mph... I would put the blame on you not the customer.

I do estimates everyday. Usually I won't park in the customers driveway but sometimes theres no choice. Like when every curb on the street is a red zone, or when it's a very narrow street, or when they live right off of a roundabout (sometimes you can still park on the curb in this situation, and etc. I'd say I only have to park in the driveway of 1 out of 50 customers but it's still reasonable to do if necessary.

I was parked up around the side pf the house. Sometimes i park in street when estimating. Sometimes driveway. I dont know how far it went exctly or how fast it was going. The owner of the house volunteered to call and gave the statement first. He promised me i would be very happy with the claim. I am so far. Of someone hits you its their fault. I was an invited guest. Not a solicitor or illegal parker. And yes im doing there work. I didnt know them previously.

I told the lady who was very apologetic for hotting me that it happens and that ive bumped a few people over the years that parked behind me in my driveway because im not used to looking behind me. It happens. Ive never caused major damage except to a 500 dollar car my buddy didnt care about. Its not the peoples fault in a moral or malicious sense. But legally. Yes. You hit someone...your responsible.
