For anyone wanting to DIY service their AC; everything you need (minus R143a which Walmart has for $4.88/12 oz) for $130.00:



I've had that vacuum pump for 6+ years--works great...

 

You only need 3, 12oz. Cans. <$15 for the refrigerant.

 

Yup, and despite what AC shops and the dealer wants to tell you there is not one bit of rocket science or wizardry involved...

Is the $130 what Wal-Mart charges for a refrigerant fill? Confused.

 

AC in a Taco holds 21 ounces.

 

I'd use this one for a big job. I have that one as well, I was just re coating that section. I actually stained the whole fence with the air one.

 

With this one no thinner needed.

 

The Walmart price of R134a is a sort of parenthetical reference, similar to a bibliographical reference in a scholarly document--an "aside" if you will. I should perhaps have not used it "inline" as I can see where a literal reading of the statement could be confusing.

Nothing works 100% of the time.

My mother's father, a Scot and stationary steam engineer, told us repeatedly "The last time any machine starts and operates properly may very well be the last time it starts and operates properly."

Added a flip up side table to my HF rolling cart. Excellent addition, bolts right up. Tempted to add one to the other side as well, instead of the handle.

 

That looks very useful--does it fold in tight when down?

 

Oh yea, can barely tell it's there.

I used to build pole buildings for a living. Maybe it's because what I built usually required 24" x 48" holes, but how I never thought of or heard about this before is beyond me. Kudos.

 

I found the Allen wrenches to be soft and usually round off really easy ... just my opinon i personally wouldn't waste my time on them

 

I bought that set last week - needed a T4 to replace the battery in a bluetooth headset. Good little set for $6.99*0.8 with coupon.
