Looking to draw on the forums experience here. My 2011 DCSB with JBL 7 speaker system only puts bass out of the front door speakers. I purchased the truck with all 4 door speakers completely blown. I replaced the door speakers and now all is good except that there is only base coming from the front speakers.

Anyone else seen this? Im suspecting that the factory JBL AMP is blown on those two channels.

A wiring diagram for the system would be a great start! Is this available on the forum?

I did find one EWD that looked like the front 6x9's are driven by the sub woofer channel in addition to the two standard channels off the JBL amp. Can anyone confirm this?

    Thanks in advance

Bumps are good but sorry I can't help you out. Maybe check the outputs of the amp. I decent audio shop would be my next step after checking the amp.

I replaced speakers in my '07 Camry XLE with a JBL system. What I found beyond the odd ball 2 ohm speakers, was that the crossover is in the JBL amp and you can't do anything about the sound distribution. While I put coax speakers in my doors because they were the best fit, there wasn't any high at all coming from the tweeters, it's just not there.

Did you match the impedance when you replaced the speakers and didn't just throw 8 ohm speakers in there because that's what 95% of the normal world uses? If it was blown when you got it, you could have as you suspect, a fried amp. How someone would toast the system Ian beyond me unless they had an aftermarket and swapped it out when they sold it.

I used 4 ohm speakers since I couldnt find info on what the original speakers were. Measuring the old ones was no help either. Resistance across both coils was infinite.

Any resources on the forum to get a hold of the wiring diagram for this system. That would be all I need to fix this.
