So at work we had a vendor come in to talk about their 3d printers. They got a 3d printer coming out that can print metal! Right now it can only do 316 stainless, but later on you can expand to 6061/ 7075 Al, titanium, inconel. It's pretty affordable too. I think around 20 to 40k if I remember right. Imagine one piece turbo headers or custom twin scroll housing with extremely complicated geometry. Cool thing it is a desktop devise. It prints the part as a green piece of metal and you just sinter it afterwards.

Exactly, but even better that what was described in that video. That metal is laser sintering which takes powder and zaps it together. This new one extrudes it out and then you just move the part to a sintering oven and bake it. Turns a half million dollar setup into a 50k machine.

You can print this on your desk.

Too expensive for a hobbist, but a small business can afford it. I'm like man I need to make sure I keep working with 3d printers if I ever want to start my own business. We got some cool stuff coming our way very soon.

valve body upgrade. Better off just switching in a manual transmission. All the supercharged guys near me needed to do that with big tires and putting down a lot of torque.

So its not like back in the 80's-90's when you just drop the valve body and rework it from a kit. Are there any threads on the upgrade

I don't think you can personally do it. You have to send yours in. Think they machine it out. Not sure. If you Google tacoma valve body you can find a bunch of information. Give a few places a call if they work on your transmission. I know there is stuff for the 1st and 2nd gen v6. The 4 cylinder stuff is where you need to start getting creative.

I've been putting this question without any response maybe I haven't really asked directly but here goes a spring in your wastegate rated at 5.8 let's average at 6psi is there anything that would increase the psi with no boost control

It must be the gauge :notsure: so when it was hitting 11-12 psi it was really 10

When the truck is off is the gauge at 0? Or does it sit at 1-2 that might be a good indication that its not calibrated correctly

    Intake, exhaust, lift. Typical stuff.
Sure. If your vacuum hose to the waste gate is pinched or clogged or has a leak or fell off, the WG won't open or at least not as its supposed too.

But neither of the two will be %100 exact either way so I think you're good. I bet that gauge rounds up.

I like the idea of being able to light up the tires in a little 4cyl so I guess that's my goal. Not sure the hp or psi I would have to run but I think that's what I would like to do:)
