6in procomp stage 2 lift with PC Coilovers, 35x12.50 Nitto MTs, Moto metal 18x10 with -44 offset HID and LED's everywhere, ladder bars, rear disk brake conversion, hood struts, K&N cold air intake, Flowmaster 40 series, pro comp skid plates, train horn, pa system, all silver trim inside painted black all pro apex front bumper with full hoops warn 10k winch, all pro high clearance rear bumper with custom door hinge tag holder, pro top custom windowless camper shell. ARB onboard air compressor, rear ARB air locker, 4.56 gears front and rear, waterport pressurized water system, pop and lock tailgate.
So i'm at a crossroads hear and i'm going to start a riot on the FB pages haha i'm torn between the Icons and Kings for my 6inch DB lift. The stage 2 pro comp MX 2.75 C/Os are completely shot at 40k miles and theres only a difference of about $300 on ICON and Kings being the cheaper end. With both I was looking at the C/Os with the resi's, adjustable valving and extended travel. Got the "Go ahead from the wife to finish the truck vs paying it off rght now and also looking at which gear ratio with lockers to go with for my 35s also torn between the 4.56 and the 4.88 ratios. 50% of my driving is Hwy with about 30% city and the other off road. Cant seem to get a good answer on which would be the better of the two for fuel economy but durability it looks like the 4.56s just trying to get back to around stock ratios as I geer hunt like crazy with all the weight of the bed cap bumpers winches gear and the 35s. On the hwy its a struggle to run 70 and stay in OD.
Also any input on UCAs ? ICON was telling me I need to go with the Billet vs the Tubular ones because the billies have the adjustable caster however I have zero alignment issues with my DB in fact my cv angles are better than stock currently.
Any and input would be greatly appreciated. TIA

I have the 6in kings with remote res, part number 25001-619 w/ 700# 14" springs, but they are 1.5" shorter that my old procomp stage 1 setup. I suggust you measure for custom build. Because of this, my vote is for icon 6-7in coilover w/o res.

buddy runs 35's on his truck with 4.56's (he is supercharged and NO DB lift) and it spins the motor a smidge faster than stock which is perfect.

Id also vote Kings, call up down south motorsports they will hook you up.

was looking at icons for the longest but they only offer the digressive valving and after I was able to catch a feel deals the kings are nearly $700 less either way both are an improvement over what I have

Good to know I kept getting a bunch of mixed opinions on the 4:56s but attempting to do the math it looked closer to me. Do you know if he is a manual or auto trans? is he a 4 or 6cyl?

Pretty much decided on kings just have to get some exact specs on lengths cause i have a lot of weight added to the truck. Ill give DSM a call feel like their shipping to me in Virginia is going to hurt a lot considering i'm no longer stationed in so cal.

Give DSM a call, their prices shipped will probably surprise you

Buddies truck is a v6 auto, so 3.73's stock (all 6v's have 3.73's stock). 4.88's would of been pretty agressive of gearing for 35's if it was driven mostly on road.

That’s an adjustable coilover. You can crank this Kings up to 8” of lift

I've had similar experiences with both and 6" lifts.

My vote is based purely on colour. Icons.

Glad you're doing it properly. DB trucks drive fairly decent with good coil overs.

Do you have lateral bars in the rear?

I have almost the exact same setup! However I'm not sure if I'm looking at the same c/o's. Where do you find the part number on kings shocks?
